They are pretty slim. I can fit 3 across in a truck. However, don't expect to get 3 across in a car the size of a Maxima or smaller. Aside from that, they are super easy to grab and go, and the cup holders can easily be stored under the seat if needed. My 6 and 7 yr old say they are very comfortable. The padding is definitely thicker and more cushy than the Graco and Costco ones I've previously had. Only tricky part is snapping the arm rests into place. ... show more

First off, this comes in 2 pack which is a good deal. Not only that, the quality of this Diono backless booster is great. The cushion is well padded. The covers are easy to remove and are washable. The instruction manual is pretty straightforward. Disclaimer: I do not claim to be an expert in carseat safety. I am testing these carseats for the purpose of reviewing it and giving insights as to how I used it. I tested if these backless booster seats could actually fit 3-in-a-row. I have a Honda Odyssey and I placed 2 of these side-by-side a Graco SlimFit3 LX carseat on the 3rd row. It does fit but with the following compromises: 1. I did not attach both cupholders of the 2 Diono backless boosters. 2. The Graco SlimFit3 LX was placed in the middle to accommodate seat belt requirement for Diono backless boosters. While this looks doable according to our configuration, it is pretty snug with putting 3 car seats together. It is also hard for the kids to buckle up the seat belt and would need an adult's help (children younger than 8.) While these backless boosters are well made and of good quality, I would still prefer to use a backless booster that has a tether for the lower anchors. That said, I would still recommend this product but would be best for bigger kids (on the higher range of the height weight requirement.) ... show more
