Did this kit with my eight year old grandson twice now. It comes with tons of supplies. When we used up the soap that was included I ordered more soap and we were able to use the molds and other supplies again. Even after two uses we still have enough coloring and scent to use several more times. The molds and items included are very durable and will last a long time. Did this with my 4 year old, oof lol. Definitely need lots of patience, but it’s totally doable if you get your ducks in order before starting. Have your dyes and fragrance opened and ready to pour, have your dinosaur mold in the holder and ready for pouring, have a metal butter spreader or butter knife handy too (much better than the wooden sticks). The soap base cools quickly, yes, but i found if you mix the color and fragrance in the GLASS microwave cup BEFORE transferring to the plastic beaker, you have more of a grace period since the glass is still hot, as opposed to the beaker that is not hot. I let my toddler do the stirring (I did the squirting of color since the bottles are hard to squeeze, oddly) and since he is slow, there was a couple times I needed to reheat the mixture in the glass cup. If you need to fill a mold twice due to insufficient amount of soap, be sure to clear the clogged mold funnel with a clean popsicle stick. In the end, this project was sorts a pain, but whatever still fun. Gotta just deal with it and not lose your focus. One bar isn’t enough for 1 mold, so double it up. We did 2 tone dinos, so we poured 1 bar’s worth into the mold, then heated another bar with a different color and then poured that on top. Came out very nice. Some people on here are being super DRAMATIC! “How do I get wax out of my RUINED CUP!!!???” Well, for one, it’s soap, not wax. Hot water, guys….very hot water will melt it off your cup and tool lol. You will need to use your brain here and there with this project, but it’s fun. My kid loved it! Messy but fun. Im the end guys, it’s soap. No biggie. ... show more

    • Dino-Snooze Soap Opera: When Dinos Went Extinct...in My Bathtub!
So, I ventured into the Dino Soap Making Kit for Kids, expecting prehistoric bath-time bliss, but oh boy, it was more like a soap drama that even Netflix would reject! The kit claimed to make soap-making a roaring dino-tastic adventure, but it turned out to be a dino-snooze fiesta. The only roar I heard was my own frustration as I battled the stubborn soap molds that would rival a T-Rex in stubbornness. Attempting to mix the soap concoction was like stirring a pot of fossilized slime. It was stickier than a lizard's tongue on a hot rock. I felt like a mad scientist trying to find the right formula for soap that, alas, never happened. And oh, the molds! They were supposed to create fearsome dino-shaped soaps. Instead, I got a soap massacre that even archaeologists couldn't decipher. The poor dinosaurs turned out to be more abstract art than fearsome prehistoric creatures. In summary (or should I say, in a dino-sized disappointment), if you're looking to create a dino dynasty in your bathtub, the Dino Soap Making Kit might just make your dinosaurs go extinct faster than a meteor strike.
