  • Wearability
Lasts longer than tennis balls, easy to replace as they are precut. Pack of 24 is convenient since I do walk on pavement to mailbox and wear them down a bit. You will like your purchase👍

  • Helps tamper the noise a little. Feel very durable.
Color: Brown Size: Large
We have an elderly aunt living here who hadn’t lived with another human for fifty years prior, so consideration isn’t her strong suit. She slams her walker like she’s Godzilla’s grandma in a crowded city. In her defense, we do have all hardwood or tile floors with doorway thresholds. She’s up and about around the clock, though, so it’s really not ideal. New rubber tires didn’t solve the problem completely, and no way felt would stay on. My first attempt was some furniture socks secured with rubber bands. She wore out the bottoms in a month, using them strictly indoors, and they did little for the sound. I am not a huge fan of the tennis ball look, however desperate times…then I saw these. Nice. Ordered the dark brown ones, and they’re much less obnoxious appearing. Before putting them on, I did a cavity check to one, and the inside felt smooth. No additional thickness on the very bottom. I expect one set to last a few months at least. When squeezing, they feel like a tennis ball with a little more give due to the premade slitted holes where the legs go through. I did have to use my pocket knife utility blade to make the hole slightly bigger. If you have to do this, do it a millimeter or two at a time. It didn’t take much. I found it’s easier to get it on while squeezing the sides to make the wall as stiff as you can during insertion. All in all, they work pretty well so far and look more dignified than tennis balls. They definitely have a little more floor contact than a round ball would , increasing her imaginary kill rate and sliding power. I believe they do tamper the sound a bit. They stay on really well, too ... show more

  • Science is the Square!
Color: Beige Size: Large
We have a few people in our family that need walkers on a full-time basis. We have 4 Walkers that only get used indoors since the concrete sidewalks wear the OEM plastic glide is destroyed in a couple of weeks, tennis balls last 2 days. When they need to walk outside now, we use a wheeled rollator that doesn't show the wear. We have used pre-cut round tennis balls installed on the inside Walkers for years. They work well but wear down after just a couple of weeks. They will deeply scratch the wood floors if we don't replace them regularly. I ordered these Monoflats when I saw that they were square shaped instead of round. I am an engineer, and the square shape and its possibilities intrigued me. The surface area of the ground contact point of a square is around five times as large as the contact point surface area of a sphere. The pounds per square inch of pressure at the point of contact on the square shape would be about five times less, due to dissipating the pressure over a much greater surface area on the square. That should make the square shaped glides last at least five times longer before needing replacement due to wear. The pictures that I used for this review show a worn black tennis ball. That glide has been on a walker for way less than 14 days. My first experiment with the square glide showed almost zero surface wear after three days, the round tennis ball would show considerable wear in the same time period. I've gone through hundreds, all brands, all colors and materials. They don't even last two weeks. I use the large size square glide. The round tennis balls that I was using cost $1 each. The Monoflat square glides cost about $1.56 each. If they last five times longer before having to be replaced due to wear, the actualized cost of each square glide will be about $.32 each. The surface of the square glides feels softer and more robust than the traditional round tennis balls that I was using. The Monoflat squares are actually quieter and walk smoother than the round coarser tennis balls. I'm going to keep this experiment running until the square glide reaches the failure point. This experiment only applies for walkers and not furniture or chairs that don't get moved constantly. I had zero problem putting the square glides on the walker. You only need a little pressure combined with a twisting action. Science is making it so that I don't have to keep buying and replacing round tennis balls constantly. I am so grateful that I noticed these square glides. These Monoflat glides will be a great time and aggravation saver! Try these if you have a Walker that is used inside on a smooth floor. These glides will last at least five times longer. *UPDATE - 7-8-25 Amazing that After 31 Days of continuous use on a walker, the square still shows almost No signs of wear. These squares are going to last a long time! ... show more

  • Durable Floor Saver for Walkers and Chairs Alike
Color: Brown Size: Large
My mother recently began using a walker indoors and outdoors, and it didn’t take long before it was scratching the floors. Installing these square pads on the walker’s front legs immediately stopped all scraping and damage inside the house. I was so impressed that I ended up using them on my husband’s computer chair as well. We have hardwood floors in our rental, and his chair wheels were leaving rings that required refinishing—these pads completely solved that problem. They slide smoothly without resistance, even with my husband being over 350 lbs, and they show no signs of tearing. Installation is as easy as putting on a tennis ball, and they stay securely in place. The square design is a big improvement over round tennis balls, giving better coverage and stability. I love that they come in a pack of 16. Overall, these pads are a simple, effective way to protect floors from both walkers and rolling chairs. ... show more
