These lamps are attractive in design and suited the style I was looking for. The dimmer switch worked well and the soft yellow Edison type bulb is attractive. I bought three two came with the bulb unscrewed and broken the third the bulb was partially loosened from shipping vibrations. I returned the two broken lamps for replacement fearing I could not match the bulb in the lamp kept. If the manufacturer had left the bulbs un installed or wrapped with bubble wrap or boxed it would have saved much effort to return the two with broken unusual bulbs. Fourth lamp received also broken bulb I will keep this and order bulbs on my nickel ... show more

We purchased this lantern for our cabin and everyone who walked in to visit in February commented on this beautiful lamp! I can't say enough on it's rustic charm sitting in front of our window. In March, we traveled to cabin and the light would not turn on. My husband took the glass globe off to replace a light bulb but new light bulb did not work. (And yes, the glass globe does come out by pulling up the spring loaded top of lantern and tilting the globe to take out.) He took the lamp with him to hardware store and used a voltmeter to make sure power was getting to the socket where you screw in the bulb and that was ok. He determined we might have a faulty socket because the power from there was not getting to the light bulb. At a loss as to what to do next, he called Muskoka Lifestyle Products in Utah, explained the situation with the lamp. The company representative was at a loss to explain it also, but he immediately sent out a new lantern. To me, the end line of this story is the American Company who stood by their product. They should by very proud of their business ethics. Stuff happens when you manufacture and ship your goods, but honoring your commitment to the customers buying your product is so very important. Thank You Muskoka Lifestyles for living up to the kind of company I expect from all companies! PS: The photo is to show the glass globe really does come out. ... show more

Honestly it’s a fantastic lamp. It has a flexible range of brightness, and feels actually pretty heavy duty. One thing is don’t listen to the reviews with people saying it’s too hard/risky to take apart because you can break the glass… If you are that worried about it, just put it together on your bed. Never seen glass shatter on a mattress before. 10/10 durability 10/10 easy to assemble 9/10 Light quality. Only reason why it’s a 9/10 is because I wish there was a flickering option. ... show more

I love this little lantern. The light in mine is quite off-center and a bit crooked which bothered me at first but is not as noticeable when in use. I do wish the switch to turn on /off and manage brightness was not positioned where it is. If it was either closer or further you could put it behind the lantern or behind the furniture that you have it on but with where it is, part of the cord has to stay on the table to make the switch accessible. It was definitely expensive for the size but I am glad I purchased it nonetheless. I haven't tried to change the bulb or anything since I have only had it briefly so I am not sure how that will go but overall it is very nice and gives off a warm light. ... show more
