  • Good product for the price.
Color: Red
The media could not be loaded. Installation was easy to follow. I ended up installing it through the positive side of the relay due to having the need to splitting the starter and the fuse/junction box. 1. Wire up the starter directly to battery. This reduces the cranking amps going through the remote relay, even though it is rated at 250 amps. 2. Wire up the fuse/junction box to the controlled terminal. This will eliminate the battery drain I am currently having with the vehicle. All I have to do now is use the remote to enable the relay prior to turning the vehicle on. When I’m done, turn the vehicle off, then use the remote to disable the relay. Note: If you attempt to turn the relay off prior to turning your vehicle off, the alternator will continue to provide power to the engine and stay on. Do not do that for it can damage your alternator. If you have an alarm system, I recommend to lock your vehicle prior to turning your relay off. So far this product is working as designed and did not have any use for the extra stuff. The proximity from the battery to the hood is very close so I had to bend the bus bar in a Z shape. See photo provided. This allowed me to have clearance between the relay and the hood. ... show more

  • Installs Semi-Easily and Works Great
Color: Red
Just bought one of these for my old Ford that has a leaky battery and I slowly set it up, and it works great with the remotes.

  • Keyless switch
Color: Black
I have a custom chopper. I used this simple relay as a keyless ignition. Works great. As for discharging the battery I haven’t had that issue yet as some has described by others. So far it’s an excellent solution for an ignition switch.

  • It’s not waterproof, be careful.
Color: Black
The battery switch died after heavy rain while it was in the engine bay, unfortunately it sat just perfectly where some water dripped. I then held it upside down and a ton of water came out the battery switch. I let it dry for 2 days and it never worked again, otherwise, it worked great before it got wet. Take precautions to ensure water doesn’t get inside it. Also, my car battery has died 3 times while the battery switch wasn’t broken and still functioning (jump started the car with the battery switch still on the battery), the battery was fully charged as I left it to sit for 3 days. So some days it will randomly draw a lot more power from the battery after you press off. ... show more

  • Install Done
Color: Black
I puchased this unit as it had all the extra parts to complete the install. Some of the other sets on the market don't provide the screw on battery terminal parts. I did the negitive pole installation using the provided instructions. I had to do some adjustments to my ground cable so I could manuver it in place. It works as intended. Now I can disable my 2006 Mustang GT with a click of a button... Update; The disconnect unit started shorting out my trickle charger which still works on other batteries, same with larger battery charger. Battery charges when the battery switch is disconnected. Weird! ... show more
