My 5 pound senior chi is a VERY picky eater. It's always been a battle to get him to eat a majority of the time. We first tried the dehydrated Honest Kitchen dog food and he wasn't thrilled with it. Decided to try this pate version and I'm shocked at how much he loves it! He actually comes running when it's time to eat, and that is unheard of for him. He's been eating the turkey and autumn veggies for about 5 months now and has yet to turn down a meal! The ingredients seem like good quality and I feel good about feeding this to him. We stick with the turkey and autumn veggies flavor because its the only one that is not grain free. It is a little pricey but we mix it with dry food which makes it last a little longer and plus it's worth it to have my little guy eating well. **Updating to add a tip - As soon as I open a new box I transfer the contents into a glass container with a lid. I find this makes it much easier to get all of the food out of the box because it's still in one big loaf more or less and comes right out. Otherwise it's difficult to scrape the last of it out by the end of the box. ... show more

my dogs love this pate in any flavor just about. i never worry when i open it that it will be all liquid or rancid, like Farmina was and that company did nothing about it. i also don't think Honest Kitchen would either though in my experience with their Goat Milk dececant packet going into the dogs bowl undetected. all we can do is hope the food is as good for them as it is tasty. ... show more

Our mini Goldendoodle has been eating this pate for many years for his dinner. He’s only 15 lbs. so he’ll eat half of the container for a meal, and we typically sprinkle some grated cheddar cheese on top. He loves it!

Quick & easy way to bring excitement into dog kibble. I feed my 2 rescues twice a day & they get excited just hearing the dishes clang. Not a drop left. I open container & transfer to glass jar for refrigeration. A box lasts easily a week as a topper.

Update. This has been our dog food for several years. As I stated it’s about the only food I’ve found my dog can tolerate. Now I get pissed off each time I open a box ! When I started buying it years ago I got a full box of pate that I didn’t have to mix up before using. I could serve it straight from the box. Awhile back I started noticing the boxes had a bit of liquid in then- about a tbs. Now the added liquid is out of control! I can no longer serve from the box since there is so much liquid I have to put it in something to stir it in. This means I am getting significantly less product for my money. A LOT LESS! The boxes now have 1/4 cup of broth and about a fourth less food. This means on top of the increased prices I have to buy more. Folks you had a quality product that you didn’t have to water down to hide how much you were raising the cost. Be up front and stick to just charging more- it’s more honest! Old review I’m fanatically picky about what I feed my dog. I have a Pomchi that basically has doggy IBD. This food is the only one she has been able to tolerate besides the prescription one from the vet. I hate having to feed the vet food since one of the ingredients is sugar. Sugar- wtf!!! My only issues with this are- 1- the packaging sucks 2- the amount of water/ broth in the box has increased from almost none to a few tbs since I started buying it 4 years ago ... show more

I add a bit of this (or their stews, also amazing) to some dry and he goes right at it. Decent price, considering portion size and overall quality. If refrigerating unused I recommend 12-13 seconds in a microwave to return to room temp.
