Couldn’t be easier. No buttons, no need to hook up the wire, just hold it near the spark plug and it tells you the rpm.

The Induction RPM Meter works great and will come in handy doing equipment tune-ups. It fits in the palm of my hand and can either be used with the sensing head next to the sparkplug wire, or you can connect a wire with a pickup clamp, to put on the sparkplug wire. Very handy options! The packing wasn't impressive. A small 3x3x1-1/2" item box was placed into a 10x7x3-1/2" cardboard shipping box with no packing materials. That poor meter was banging a round in the shipping box the whole trip. I'm surprised that the meter even works! ... show more

    • It's a Tachometer
I can't vouch for the accuracy of this tach but it is close enough to set the idle on my single cylinder, 4 stroke motorcycle. It is dead simple to use. You can just hold the meter next to a plug wire and see the reading or place the clip around the wire, plug the other end in a hole to nowhere on the side of the meter and voila, read your RPMs. It also works the same on a 2 stroke weed wacker my son is working on. ... show more
