This item required a four hour minimum charging time. My four year old, fortunately brought it out of our bedroom into the living room and began playing it. After about five minutes, her mom yelled ‘it’s smoking’! It had caught fire and began to melt the underside of the plastic casing. BE CAREFUL!!! I got this for my 4 year old daughter. The first time she played it it caught on fire. It began smoking while she had it on her lap. I smelled it from the other room. Luckily, I took it off her before the flames started. But, it did get very hot on her legs. We threw it away instantly.

I don’t like that there aren’t any instructions on how to use the tone and rhythms. For example, do yiu have to press the button 9 times to get that tone or rhythms. Plastics is a little cheap but these are for 3 and 5 year olds so I’m sure they’ll love it. I would just like to be able to explain how everything works. Figured some things out on my own Update. This product starting smoking while my 3 yr old granddaughters as playing with it. Good thing her mom and dad were with her when it happened. Bought 2 of these. We got this keyboard to teach our 1 year old music. It's the perfect kid's keyboard! It's light and has excellent sound. There are a variety of music and rhythm options on it. My wife is musical and said the notes are on key. We thought at first the included microphone was missing but didn't realize it was attached to the bottom of the keyboard. I bought 2 of these keyboards for my Grand sons. They both love them! I especially like the usb charging system with the built in battery! It's nice to not need to buy batteries constantly. I've been using this as a way to write music. For the price I realize that it's not going to be fancy or sound amazing, which is okay for me. HOWEVER, while working out what notes I was playing I realized that this thing is OFF KEY! For example, a 'C' on this keyboard (or the one I purchased) is actually a C# – the entire keyboard is off by a half note. The piano itself is great! But when we got it, about 10-15 keys weren’t moving. When I looked at the keys closer, I noticed the tabs underneath them were not pushed in to let the key move. I had to do this myself, and you have to be very careful cause if you push too hard, it will snap the tab and won’t let the key play. I accidentally did that to one and had to open the whole piano to try to fix it. I was able to temporarily fix it, but not sure how long it will last. ... show more
