The Nord Electro 6D 73 with 73-note Semi-Weighted Waterfall keybed and physical drawbars combines our award-winning emulations of vintage electro mechanical and acoustic instruments in an ultraportable package. With 3 independent sound sections, a new streamlined user interface and the addition of Seamless Transitions, we're proud to present the most powerful and flexible Electro ever -a refined modern classic. The panel has three independent sound sections: Organ, Piano and Sample Synth that can be used simultaneously as a layer or a split. It features 6 Split Points and the new Split Point Crossfade functionality introduced with the Stage 3 for smooth transitions between two split zones. Choose from 3 different crossfade widths (Small, Large or Off) as indicated by different LED colors. The new streamlined Program section features a handy Organize mode including Copy/Paste and Move functionality for quickly arranging your Programs to your desired order. A new Page View lets you easily sort and organize pages as a song list. All Programs, Pianos and Synth Samples are easily navigated using the new List View that offers alphabetical, numerical and category sorting options. Package arrived right on time in perfect condition no complaints. I have added this 61 note keyboard as a practical solution for rehearsals and as an add-on to a 400 lb Hammond A-100 for electric pianos and synth effects. For organists you will want to get an expression/vol pedal and possibly foot or half moon switch for leslie effect. For pianists you will want a damper/sustain pedal. Note the polarity of these can vary and some are even adjustable (but Roland, Yamaha type seem to work). The learning curve for tweaking the settings is steep and you will need to dedicate some time to setting it up although some nice patches right out of the box. The memorized patches seem to be stored in random order rather by more logical pianos, organs, synths categories but maybe i am missing something and can move them around using the software sound manager. My ONLY complaint about this order is that prices seem to vary wildly - you may even find this up to $1000 cheaper from one well-known European supplier! This was extremely disappointing but consider it my own fault for not being a more vigilant shopper. ... show more

If I had to sum this keyboard up in one word, it would be: Butter. It’s creamy, tasty, smooth, delicious. I laughed. I cried. If you’re looking for a meat-and-potatoes keyboard that feels good on the fingers, I can’t imagine anything better. When I receive the Nord electro 6d 73 keys- it look like it was tampered with. For the amount of money for this instrument there should be no scratches and underneath the keyboard one side of the surface was warped not flat across. I was very disappointed to receive this product in bad condition. This was the first time I have ever purchased a Nord product and I had such high expectations because of the related videos that had helped me decide that I wanted to buy this instrument. The 6D is lightweight and easy to set up at a job, and I'm happy with the key feel and sounds. That said, one note has ceased to function and occasionally a pushbutton will activate itself. I expected better quality for the price I paid.
