For the price, this is an excellent caliper. I bought this for a specific use, but I find myself using it often for many tasks often. It’s well made and accurate. I would only ding the product because the carrying case does not stay shut and changing the battery requires unscrewing tiny screws holding a battery door closed. Easy to drop and loose the screws. But I still give this five stars.

The calipers are fine themselves, battery seems to drain quickly. The case is the main problem, does not like to stay closed and the hinge material is not holding up well. Case is a bit large for pocket storage so field use is limited, best for office or shop work.

These calipers have a great weight to them, and the slide is pretty heavy so its easy to make super fine adjustments without it sliding all over the place. The locking mechanism works great and doesn't budge, and the display is extremely clear and easy to read. The only con I can add is the provided case is not the best quality. After about a week of taking the calipers in and out of the case, the foam has started to come up completely and will need to be glued back down. Overall this is very minor considering the quality of the tool. I would definitely recommend these over the cheaper plastic calipers.

This caliper works well. It is precisegood enough if you are dealing with centimeters or millimeters. If you are working with micrometer-level precision, this tool does not have that kind of precision. The caliper is build from metal and it feels solid. It comes in a nice case that includes an extra battery and a small screwdriver to replace the battery when needed. I recommend it.

Use it for my home electric guitar builds. Measuring necks, neck pockets, nuts, tuners holes, drill bits., Saw blades, fret tangs, and more. Just gives me information. So I can better understand what is going on at a microscopic level. Lot of things in guitar building come down to hundreds of a millimeter or thousands of an inch. And this tool gets it done for a very reasonable price. If I am wondering about accuracy. All I have to do is measure the guitar strings. .010", .013, .017, and so forth. It's right there. With in .005. and that could be the strings that are off gauge.
