    • Good headset, OK hearing aid, app wont work without GPS location permission

Overall i have been on the fence over getting a hearing aid. But i do like a good head set. This product fits the bill well. It dose help me hear fine sounds like HDD sounds (i work in IT), thats great (5 star). It works like a very nice and comfortable Bluetooth headset, 100% cool, 5 star. However, the App is not very good (1 star). As a hearing aid the app adds lots of functions like noise cancellation, with the app it works well in restaurant i was actual rather impressed. BUT there is a tradeoff. This app locks these massively useful features behind a mandatory GPS location permission ( i tend to leave GPS off and most features off for more battery life and privacy reasons) whoops now the app crashes. it can not even find the hearing aids without broadcasting my location to the App makers via GPS. Thus i have a low quality noisy amplifier and a nice set of headsets without the App. Unless i leave GPS and location permissions on this app operationally 100% of the time (and leave the app loaded) the hearing aid functions are massively diminished. I am not willing to trade privacy for this much benefit, but thats my opinion. ... show more

I have ordered these hearing aids 2 times. I returned them each time. They seemed to have performed OK but I never really got a chance to try them out much. Each order had the same problem. After using them a bit, I would put them back in the case to charge and I would hear a very irritating whistling sound. I would take them out and put them back in the case, and the whistling would start again. It was AWFUL. I could hear them whistling from another room. I had to wrap them in a towel and put on the top shelf in my closet until I could return them. The manufacturer saw a review I made and sent me a free pair to try out. These did not make the whistling sound...thank goodness. So I finally got a chance to properly test them out. They were just OK. Much like most of the ones I tried, the noise cancellation was not that great. In a restaurant or bar setting with friends, the background noise was a bit irritating. At times, drowning out the conversation I was having with my friends. I do use these on my bike rides for the bluetooth listening to music. I also use the bluetooth to watch TV. They work very nicely for the bluetooth purpose. But as hearing devices, I have found other devices with far better noise cancellation. UPDATE: DIGGING SOUND has shut down their email address. There is no way to contact them in China. That is not good !!!!! ... show more

    • Cannot connect to Desktop/Laptop Bluetooth

While these are a bit loud but work as hearing aids, they don't seem to connect to Desktop/Laptop and I NEEDED something that would do that to replace my bulky wired headphones. I've tried for a couple hours to find a way but nothing. Going to the web site is no good because if you search the results are all in chinese or some crap. Returning them tomorrow. If you need connectivity to work and desktop/laptop, find another product. I'm back to searcing again! Don't people WORK any more? ... show more

They work pretty much as advertised but the outer diameter is a little large for my ears and after a few hours they make make my ears really sore. I like the app because I can customize the 6 different frequencies to my needs. I think if they supplied some of the silicon cups with air pressure relief passage in them it would stop sounding like I am talking in my head. My $7000 hearing aids has this air passage built into them so when I talk I do not hear my voice in my head. Without this air passage hole the sound you here when you talk is like talking while holding your hands tightly against your ears. You can dial some of that sound out by playing around with the adjustable frequencies in the app but you can not totally remove the muffled sound in your head when you are talking. For the extremely low price, they do the job fairly well. I also like the little case. Once you charge up the case you can take it with you and the case will fully charge the hearing aids three times without having to charge the case. Tip: if you take one out after a few hours and put it in the case and wait about an hour it will fully charge and I can stagger the dead time between the two so I can always use one while the other is being charged. You have a battery percent meter for both right in the app. Can’t beat them for the price. ... show more
