I have had a hearing loss in my right for about 8 years now. I was a passenger in an airplane which was on their descent to land and my right ear drum was perforated from the pressure. I tried to correct and repair the eardrum by having a Tympanoplasty Operation but the Operation was not a success. Compared to my left ear, my hearing in my right ear is 20% Less. My Doctor suggested that I get hearing aids and I did. The hearing aids cost me over $1600 about 4 years ago. I purchased the Maihear 2 in 1 Bluetooth and Rechargeable OTC Hearing Aids model Poco X808, because my first Hearing aids which were much more expensive, did not stream audio from my smart phone. I saw these on Amazon and decided to give them a try. What did I have to lose especially with a “money back guarantee”!! I am so happy I did. I am very active and go to the gym 5 days per week. I wear them every day. I love when someone calls me and I can hear every word they say perfectly. As Hearing Aids the amplified hearing works great too. The Maihear technology allows me to make 3 different changes to my listening needs just like my expensive Hearing Aids. One for low noise (Conversations) one for more noise (restaurant) and another setting for much more noise (Party, Wedding etc). I can even do my own hearing test and other functions with the Maihear hearing aids that I can’t do with my expensive hearing aids. These functions and the hearing Test will customize these aids to your specific needs. The Band function adjustment can customize the amplification of sound at a variety of difference frequencies. And the Compress Function can shift sound from one pitch to another to allow you to make more speech sounds more audible. When I use regular blue tooth devices including headphones, there are many, many words I can’t understand. The clarity is not there because you cannot customize the sound at different frequencies.     • Almost no background noise!
These devices actually work as advertised. I have purchased several hearing aids through Amazon. And none of them have helped my hearing deficiency. Too much background noise or they did not amplify enough to help me understand conversations. The Mailhear devices worked right out of the box. Once adjusted there was almost no background noise! I really wanted to like these hearing aids but I had to return them. At first wear they were good but I did not like the noise suppression, it sounded as though the aids were cutting off and then slowly back on again. First day I tried them they would not stay on. Fully charged and ready to go.. at first they seemed ok but after about 10-20 minutes I noticed a vast difference. Took them out and they were turned off. After going through the procedure 3 times the first day I decided maybe these were not for me.

    • Worked but won't stay in ear
The price is write, the app works and you can get a hearing test and apply that to the in ear hearing aids. there was a bit of an issue getting them into the ear because they want you to grasp the lower section and not push on the outer surface which has the touch turn on / turn off sensor. They talk to you, but in my view, too many words.. They say Power ON, or POWER OFF, but if your are hard of hearing it is hard to tell which one they are saying. In our case, the main reason for returning these is that the silicone domes are too big and too short to allow these in ear units to correctly insert and security stay in the ear canal area. I went to the vendors website, they did not offer a section of these longer/ smaller in diameter silicone dome units. ... show more

    • Almost good.
They sound pretty decent for streaming Bluetooth content, but as for the hearing aid side, we'll, there is to much digital... distortion? Or muffling? I don't know what to call it. Talking was hard to understand. I had to send them back. I wanted to love them though.
