  • Kid project
2 nd grade project it was perfect

  • Good product! With one missing fossil.
Great little product. I am homeschooling this year and it was a great little hands on project while we are learning about earth, fossils, dinosaurs....Directions say to let them sit in water first for 5 minutes we did our first one without adding water and our 2nd with water, the rest without water! After you let it sit in the water it is not any easier to chop away at it and it turns into a messy clay that gets all over the tools and your hands. We stuck to no water! I was a little let down because the objects were placed pretty much right at the top of the brick. Also, there was one brick that didnt have anything in and we made sure by breaking the brick into tiny pieces lol. It was the stingray tooth that was missing so that was a bummer. I wrote to the company in hope of a response and maybe a brick with the stingray tooth it's the weekend so I havent gotten a reply yet, we shall see how that goes. Overall, I would recommend to anyone doing homeschooling or just looking for a little fossil dig activity. My 7 year old wanted to start it right when he saw it and he didnt want to stop digging!!! ... show more

  • 5 year old loves it but not all real
I love that my kid loves these so much and the little cards to learn from and chart so he can match them up are great. But I know for a fact some of these are not real. I'm fine with casts or replicas for a kid too but don't put on the side of the box that they are all real fossils when they aren't.

  • Calling all future anthropologists
Used this for third grade Dino lesson. The digging was a little challenging but if you get it wet they break easily. Kids really enjoyed

  • My 4 year old loves these.
They are a little difficult the get open. The "tools" they send are a waste of plastic but otherwise these are great. The fossils are fun and interesting.

  • Good teaching tool!
Fossils were small which caused students to be frustrated finding them.

  • Not 100% real fossils
We did these with a small group summer camp. After reading reviews, I decided NOT to soak the bricks first — less mess and a longer lasting activity. The kids loved it. Unfortunately, I noticed one supposed “tooth” had paint peeled off. It looked like plastic underneath and the extreme lightweight of the item would seem to confirm it (I live near a beach where numerous real shark teeth can be found, so this was a definite giveaway). The 8-9 year olds didn’t really notice the difference and had a great time on their pretend archeological dig, so I didn’t try to further investigate the “tooth” or other fossils which could have been genuine. ... show more
