As you can see from the photos my unit arrived badly damaged on one end and I've spent so much time trying to put this thing together because the directions are horrible that I don't want to return it so I'm going to have to make it work. The welding seems to break easy just during the process of assembling it three of the welds have already broke on some of the rods so I don't expect this to last more than a couple months for my daughter. All in all I cannot recommend this to anyone for really any reason unless you just enjoy problem solving puzzles LOL

The design of the frame is very bad in some spots. The two vertical supports in the middle have a comically weak connection to the rest of the frame and are also not level with the other four which makes the bed rock on a flat stone floor. The last mattress support slat by the headboard is too close to the end of the mattress and causes my 10" firm spring mattress to slip off it and sink down with the slightest movement, making it unusable as is unless you like sleeping with your head at a downward angle. I was able to sturdy up the bed and better support the mattress with a scrap of plywood and a handful of larger bolts from the hardware store but this should not have been an issue in the first place. Overall the materials themselves are strong, I like the look of the bed, and the price is cheap. With a few small changes this would be a great item but the version that was sent to me just ain't it.

Unfortunately, this item came badly damaged. The picture reflects crookedly placed (welded) rods, and a bent rod. On the longer piece, the bars were completely broken off. The delivery was prompt, just beware and check the item asap so there’s time to return.
