Wow, I love these. I got tired of having humid glasses sweat onto a coaster and create a puddle, or liquid rolls off onto the table. These diatomaceous earth disks are great. Super absorbent. Hard, doesnt give off any earth, baked super well. I actually had a glass set down on one that had an unnoticed crack on its bottom and when I picked up glass, felt a puddle in my hand but the stone only had a damp ring where the glass set on it. It definitely absorbs! Worth the money, they look as depicted. They come with 4 stick on lil rubber stickers for each stone. You will need all 4; keeps stone even and makes it easy to slide. Bought 2 sets and am so glad I did! Update: Now in humid July and they are working wonderfully. Yesterday I picked up a glass and it felt damp from condensation on the sides. Felt under glass and damp. Looked at and felt stone and DRY. So it wicks very well. No more frustrating coasters leaking onto the table. No more sticking to bottom of glasses then crashing onto table or floor once raised. Boy, do I hate that. All good now! Excellent coaster!! ... show more

Cute little coaster needed something small and functional for my small bedside table and this is perfect. It’s simple yet not boring, comes with rubber padding to stick on the bottom so it’s not slipin and sliding very nice!

This is my second time purchasing these coasters. I have both black and white now and I love them. They absorb so well without feeling wet. My complaint about leather or wood coasters is that they feel soggy or water just pools on them. Fabric coasters always seemed like they were gross inside from getting wet and not drying quickly. These seem like magic. They soak up water and then dry immediately. We use one in our bathroom under the soap bottle to keep a ring off the countertop and it’s just such a simple thing that makes me happy. I love the funky “natural” shapes. They come with pads for the bottoms. The colors are accurate. They come bubble wrapped in a box and I’ve had no broken ones in either order. I haven’t dropped one yet so I can’t really comment on crash test durability, but I’m really happy with these and recommend them to anyone that needs coasters, which feels like a true sign that I’m in my 30s. ... show more

I really like these! But similar to other reviews, just know that these WILL stain if they come in contact with anything besides water. I mean, DUH, they’re absorbent, so you can’t really clean them off. If you want coasters for coffee or tea you will just have to use something else.

These coasters are attractive but more to the point, they work -- dampness from glasses stays on or in the coaster. My one complaint is that the coasters come with round felt pieces that you apply to the bottomside so as to avoid scratches on, say, a wood table. The coasters plus felt pieces are not packed well and my felt pieces were bent out of shape so they don't stick on the coasters. An easy fix, but no one is bothering. These are soo beautiful, elegant and minimalistic. Perfect for glass sweat - in fact, I think it draws the sweat off the glass more than if it weren’t on the coaster! Plus no glass sticking (and then coaster dropping when you lift the glass.

These are very nice "Thirstystone" type coasters. I love the modern look but now I cannot locate the black strips that were on a piece of paper and I believe they are for the bottoms of the coasters to reduce the possibility of slippage. I'm frustrated now and need to find out if I can request replacements and ask how much they are. I will update review when I find out. I just wish that they were already on the coasters when we get them. **please forgive me but I marked one star with the hope that someone will contact me because none of us can locate how to contact seller re. how to request/purchase the black strips to apply to back of coasters since we cannot locate anywhere. I got these for work and honestly they do the perfect job. They absorb the moisture drips, they do stain but i do not consider it a big deal since i wanted them to not puddle. They are study and look like a matte stone.
