  • Here's an answer about beads....
I just wanted to answer everyone who had the same questions I did. The wire attached to the clip is 2 mm in diameter. You will need a minimum of a 3mm hole on your beads. Unless you can ream 2 mm hole beads to a 2.5 mm, which may be a bit snug but workable. Happy crafting!

  • Perfect for my Hobby
I highly recommend this to people like me, who's too lazy to do a DIY of this... Haha.. I also recommend this to people that's into PlaMo (plastic model kit) hobby because its grip is secure, can get to tight spots, the wire is bendable enough to your liking.. The only thing that's missing is a base where you stick it onto (sold separately).. In my case, I used a Styrofoam (any similar material can be used too).. It helped me a lot with my painting... I didn't regret it.. Try it out and see how it works.. ... show more

  • Functional, but not extremely sturdy
I had some issues with the clips falling off of the wire after they are moved around too much. I'm assuming the wire is meant to be held by fingers while you burn/paint/etc whatever is being clipped onto. I used mine as a mounting method (looped it through some drilled holes), which was perhaps more forceful than just holding it. In any case, if you buy these for anything that will beat them up, I would manually pull them off of the wires and glue or weld them back together, to get something more sturdy. Another possibility is to "ding" dents into the clip metal that wraps around the wire. The little dents will push into the wire metal gaps, and get a better grip - to keep it from moving around. ... show more

  • Great for wedding centerpieces
I purchased these to use as part of my centerpiece for my wedding. I had what were essentially skinny mason jars which I used as vases. I placed 1 large white rose and some smaller greens in each one. I put three of these on each table. In the center one, I placed one of these clips with a mini-chalkboard that had the table number. They worked perfect and the price was exactly right. The package came with so many more than I needed, but in shopping around it was better to purchase too many than the exact amount. These had a good amount of tension and we didn’t have any problems with the chalkboards falling out or even sliding or rotating once clipped. I will say my only complaint is that the bar it’s connected to could be longer. If you have a really tall vase it may not reach down far enough to be secure in the flowers or filling of your vase. ... show more

  • High quality floral pick alternative
Bought these as plant labels for my florist business and I love them! They are an upscale alternative to the traditional plastic picks. I use them to hold a thick business card. Traditional florist picks are too narrow for the thickness of my cards and would leave scratches or dents in them. These alligator clips are sturdy and clip tightly. I have never had a problem with them slipping out and they don’t damage the card. The price is great. I didn’t know what to expect when I bought them, but now that I’ve been using them for a couple months I consider them a great deal! Would love to see a longer option (12-15 inches) and perhaps a gold or brass finish. ... show more

  • Less hassle and cost effective for a model builder
I make a lot of Gundam models and it dawn on me that having to order allegator clips and wooden sticks is quite a hassle everytime I want to paint a kit. Then I found these. Theses are very well made and even though it's made for hold table side signs and things of that sort; they also work great for holding plastic parts to paint or detail. Depending on what type of paint I use I soak these in either 91% Isopropyl Alcohol or just enamel paint thinner over night. The next day I just wipe off the paint and they are good as new. ... show more

  • OK But Much Shorter than Expected
These are OK for what they are, but the listed size is very misleading - these are more like four inches, not six, at absolutely maximum. These are absolutely useless for airbrushing unless you plan on extending them in some way. I ended up attaching each four-inch wire to a wooden dowel to extend them. This allows me to use them in a pegboard tray for airbrushing small parts. Also, a few had loose pins in the jaw. Overall, as long as you know what you're getting, not a bad item for the price. ... show more
