Features

  • HIGH QUALITY: The Diamondback Science team has been developing world-class diamond products for the energy industry for more than 40 years. Members of the team recently developed a proprietary Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) nozzle to be used in 3D printing that can handle the most challenging applications! Easier to clean and reduces tip clogging, improves layer adhesion, has a solid diamond tip, any filaments, longer life, lowers operating temperature, and delivers unmatched wear resistance!
  • PRECISION PRINT: Our nozzles rely on a solid diamond tip to improve precision 3D printing. The tip is not a diamond coating, but rather a solid diamond substrate made of polycrystalline diamond. Not only is our diamond the hardest material in the world, but it also provides best-in-class thermal conductivity, or heat transfer capability. Easily transfers heat from the hotend through the nozzle and into the filament--ensuring more precision printing and better layer adhesion on every print!
  • ANY FILAMENT: Diamondback relies on a proprietary and patented diamond technology. This breakthrough technology allows 3D printers to print any filament on the same nozzle. A DiamondBack nozzle can easily print standard PLA and ABS filaments AND highly abrasive carbon fiber-embedded filaments without having to worry about changing out the nozzle! Also it allows 3D printing using PLA Copper, Iron, and Carbon Fiber!
  • LONGER LIFE: The Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) used in every DiamondBack nozzle will significantly extend the overall life of the nozzle. The extreme hardness, wear resistance, and thermal conductivity of this unique material make it an ideal solution for 3D printing. Delivers high thermal conductivity, low coefficient of friction, and high fracture toughness. Extends the tool life of other applications in other industries by 2 to 8 times the life of tungsten carbide and other hard metals!
  • SPECIFICATIONS: It is recommended that DiamondBack Nozzle users follow the operating specifications provided by each 3D printer manufacturer and each filament supplier. DiamondBack Nozzle temperatures should not exceed 300 Celsius.

  • Diamond is a Printer's Best Friend
Size: 0.4mm Nickel Plated Copper
Okay, look... Normally with hardened nozzles you have to turn up the temperature a lot to get your filament to flow at the same rate that it used to because your hardened steel, or tungsten carbide, or whatever, has such a low thermal transfer coefficient... Not with this. This polycrystalline diamond nozzle actually made me have to turn DOWN my nozzle temperatures because it was so efficient at transfering heat to the filament! It looks beautiful, it prints beautiful, it fits perfectly with no leaks, it functions flawlessly in a standard E3D V6 heater setup, and it should never wear out. The nozzle print surface side of the nozzle looks mirror-polished, so it leaves an extremely clean top surface on prints and works great for ironing (just make sure to manage your heat settings so you don't burn your plastic). To top it all off, I get far less blobbing on this nozzle than others because filament deposits cleanly without sticking to the nozzle. Apparently diamond truly is a printer's best friend. ... show more

  • By far the best nozzle I've ever used in my 14 years of printing experience.
I'm using a 0.4 nozzle for everything. I get such good prints with PLA, that it is worth buying for that alone. Of course the incentive for getting it was nozzle hardness. That it delivers on that goes without saying. When I ordered it, due to a lapse in attention or something I ordered the 0.4 instead of 0.6. Over the last year I've printed the equivalent more than 2 spools of carbon fiber consisting of PLA, PETG, ASA, and PC from 5 different manufacturers. All of them chopped, not ground fiber. So far zero, 0, clogs! I'm not 'recommending 0.4 over 0.6 nozzles with carbon fiber but I seem to be getting away with it. I've had one rather bad head crash which it survived undamaged. Also although the brass part of the nozzle has gotten gunked up on occasion, the diamond portion remains clean. The price is eye-watering (wallet-watering?) but if you can get it on sale as I did, jump on it. Note: if you're new to 3d printing, maybe hold off. When you're new and perhaps don't have the best printer, you can have a lot of accidents that it might not survive. Also it would be a waste of money if you find fdm printing isn't for you. ... show more

  • Best small nozzle…
Size: 0.25mm
Works great and worth the money. Great for all plastics, especially abrasive. I have one in every size. Great for fine detail in PLA.

  • Listen… (with 3 year update)
I don’t review much. But this thing is the cat’s meow. I reckon that claim they make about it lasting a lifetime? Yup, I believe it. I’ve been using the heck out of this thing and it just keeps going, as consistent as the day I bought it. Now, we’re talking PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, nylon. Yeah, the carbon filled variety too. as long as it melts under 300c and you can push it through an extruder I’m pretty confident this nozzle is gonna work. Stuff don’t stick to it, it’s shinier and more polished than a mirror so that filament stacks on top of itself reeeal nice. That gives you layer lines that are stacked almost so perfect you just don’t notice them. In all seriousness, this nozzle made me fall back in love with 3d printing. It’s moved from multiple hot ends for a year! im saving my sheckles for a .6 or bigger. I’ll close with a simile, this nozzle is like tires on your car. You can have the best most advanced car in the world but so much of it comes down to what actually connects your car to the ground. This is nozzle makes all those mods, all those linear rails and everything else we do consistent, predictable, and beautiful. (Provided your printer is tuned right!!) 11/14/25 - a little more than 3 years in Well, this thing is still putting out perfect prints, regardless of what i have thrown at it. running on a good old V6 hotend and its just superb. attached is the printer hours (plus another thousand from my old X5sa) the nozzle still has a mirror finish on it and shows no signs of slowing down. ... show more

  • Not really worth it.
Size: 0.6mm Nickel Plated Copper
I got it for 70$ on sale and even then I dont really feel like its all that amazing. I wanted a nozzle that would prevent things from sticking to it. This does not do that. Tpu especially sticks and culls same if not a little worst than the brass alternative. The only cool thing about it is that Ill never need to change it, and it will never wear down. I think ill keep it, but I cant recommend it unless you want the flex, and I certainly dont recommend it at $100 wait for it to go on sale. ... show more

  • The peace of mind is wonderful.
Knowing that I can print carbon-fiber and glass-fiber with barely a care in the world is truly a nice feeling. This nozzle is well worth the money, especially when you know you can print less abrasive filaments (that will still wear brass out over long periods of time, like woodfill, silk, glow-in-the-dark, matte, or anything with glitter or specks in it) without a care. A nozzle that will out-live its printer's operator is nice to have. I haven't had any issues with it so far and really like that some of the more sticky filaments, like PETG, don't stick to the nozzle as much as normal brass or ruby. ... show more
