  • Diablo IV on Xbox Series X: Unleashing Hell in Stunning Detail!
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X
If there's one thing I love more than indulging in video games, it's immersing myself in the dark realms of Diablo. Being a die-hard fan since the original Diablo, I eagerly awaited the arrival of Diablo IV on the Xbox Series X. Let me tell you, my fellow adventurers, it was well worth the wait! From the moment I fired up Diablo IV on my Xbox Series X, I knew I was in for an epic journey. The visuals are simply breathtaking, and the power of the Series X truly shines through, bringing the grim and haunting world of Sanctuary to life like never before. The demonic hordes, the shadowy dungeons, and the beautifully detailed environments all come together to create an atmosphere that will give you chills. But it's not just the visuals that impressed me; the gameplay is absolutely phenomenal. Diablo IV builds upon the franchise's tried and tested formula, offering a seamless blend of action, exploration, and loot-filled carnage. The combat feels weighty and satisfying, with each swing of my sword or blast of arcane magic carrying a palpable impact. The revamped skill system allows for even greater customization, letting you tailor your character's abilities to suit your playstyle. One of the standout features of Diablo IV is the open-world design. Gone are the linear corridors of the past; instead, we are treated to sprawling regions teeming with secrets, quests, and random events. I found myself constantly getting sidetracked, stumbling upon hidden caves, encountering unique monsters, and unearthing legendary treasures. The sense of discovery and the thrill of exploration are unmatched, keeping me engrossed for hours on end. The multiplayer experience in Diablo IV is a true delight. Whether you team up with friends or join forces with fellow adventurers online, the cooperative gameplay adds a whole new layer of excitement. The shared world events and dungeons provide a sense of camaraderie, and the loot distribution system ensures everyone gets their fair share of spoils. It's a devilishly good time, both in solo and multiplayer modes. Now, let's talk about the devilish creatures themselves. The enemy design in Diablo IV is simply outstanding. From grotesque demons to formidable bosses, each foe feels distinct and oozes personality. Engaging in combat with these hellish abominations is a true test of skill and strategy, and defeating them rewards you with that sweet loot we all crave. In terms of replayability, Diablo IV offers endless possibilities. With multiple classes to choose from, each with its own unique abilities and playstyle, you'll find yourself itching to create multiple characters and explore different paths. Add to that the promise of post-release expansions and updates, and it's safe to say that Diablo IV will keep us hooked for years to come. My only minor gripe is the release date. Like many fellow fans, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this game, and the anticipation was almost unbearable. However, now that Diablo IV has finally arrived, I can confidently say it was well worth every second of the wait. In conclusion, Diablo IV on the Xbox Series X is an absolute masterpiece. The stunning visuals, engaging gameplay, and immersive world make for an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a long-time Diablo fan or a newcomer to the series, this game is a must-have for any Xbox Series X owner. Prepare to venture into the darkness and embrace the thrill of vanquishing demons. Sanctuary awaits, my friends! ... show more

  • Awesome Game! I'd buy it again. I can't wait for the expansions!
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X
I actually didn't get to play the base game which this is, because I also bought Lord of Hatred that has Vessel of Hatred with it and when I installed the base game, it wanted to install the extensions too. Basically, you need this one to play the others and this was a great sale price of about $25.00 total. People wonder if it'll play on Xbox One X, yes, it does. That's what I play it on, installs, no problem. but if you installed from a disk, it has to be in when you play. It doesn't really need Game Pass to play online but may if you're going to play with friends. I had no problems with the game, but it does tale about 55 gigs to install the base and Lord of Hatred initially before the actual release of the game in April 28, 2026. I'm sure that once the Lord of Hatred part is released it'll probably be another 30-40- gigs of download data. I played it all the time before the actual release of Lord of Hatred. I wore my controller out in the first 2 weeks of the game. It's a very beautiful game, far nicer than the previous versions and alot more dungeons that previous versions. If you like Diablo, buy it! ... show more

  • Fun game, a lot of value for the main campaign, lots of bugs
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X
I'm not about 80 hours of gameplay into the game's campaign and playing on World Tier III. Overall I've enjoyed most of the game, the voice acting is great, the writing is of the usual Blizzard/Diablo series quality, the graphics (on Xbox Series X) are very performant. My teenager and I play local co-op and the experience is very, very good on console- the controls are intuitive if not quite as configurable as the traditional PC experience, where I played Diablo I, II and III. The critiques I have overall are just a lot of minor things that add up to really take away from the experience, but the upside is they have been aggressively patching (for better and for worse) and I expect that someone who picked up the game today would not see many of the bugs. I have an HDR LED display, and the picture is a little dark/washed out no matter how much I try to adjust the gamma, brightness, etc. I have a feeling I would have a better experience on a higher contrast display like an OLED where blacks are darker and darker greys don't wash out the picture with backlight. The first week playing was a bit rough, a lot of dropped connections, and a lot of game glitching like random lightning flashing around the screen. I finally was able to clear the Fury Against Fate side quest after patch 1.1.2 dropped and I abandoned the quest and started again. I had tried 20+ times to complete this quest. A couple of other quests glitched, refused to progress, and I needed to restart them. These experiences seemed to be on the game itself and not the specific console version I have, based on forum chatter. ... show more

Classic. First time playing Diablo. Instant classic. I play on regular difficulty but am tempted to play on a more difficult level. Only time will tell.

  • My husband loves this game- the whole series & this, the newest, he says has best graphics
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X
This is the series of games my husband loves the most. Get him a Playstation, he wants to play a Diablo version, get him a tablet- Diablo, so when we got an Xbox X- of course, what game did he want- Diablo- and the newest of them all. While the price was high- if he hadn't had the physical version of the game- it would have been harder to install on his new Xbox. However setting the Xbox X up and installing the physical version of the game- still wasn't easy. We ended up having to call Xbox for help- and when I got an account on line, they had 24/7 help- and my husband talked to a man who actually stayed past his shift to help- and it did. The Xbox was set up, the game installed and ready to play. My husband is about five years younger than I am- but he still grew up on Nintendo, Sega and the original Playstation. So when this game came and didn't include a game book- he was really disappointed. When got the game a few weeks before his Xbox was delivered so he wanted to read about the game he was playing. When he opened the box up and all it contained was a flier with a code for a free horse (whatever it was is better than I remember though)- he was disappointed. But, I guess they no longer include long game instruction books like they use to- it's just when you pay so much for a game.... I don't think my husband will have many physical games- we have some kind of game membership for the Xbox now so he does not need many physical copies of them. However I would like him to have a few physical games- ones that he really likes- for times where there isn't internet access. Because you never know...right? So, if people are thinking of gaming- get a few physical ones that you like- of course, my husband will always root for the Diablo series- which seems to keep him occupied- forever. Having seen him beat series after series, when it comes to other games- it always seems that Diablo goes on forever- which I like. I despised having to buy a Batman or any other Marvel game and a day or two later he had beaten it- at least with a game like this, you get your money's worth. ... show more
