abunda_amazon_reviews When I was a kid, we had a similar bunk bed. But nothing broke in like 8 years. This bed is made cheap, fast. Not safe. We put it together less than 24 hours ago and our son got a hold on the rail on top bunker and it broke. He hurt himself. Be aware. I'm very disappointed with this. The bed was delivered with damage to the side bar which I only noticed after I had almost finished building it. The supplier refused to send a new side bar and asked for the whole bed to be repackaged and returned which I couldn't do because I had discarded all the packaging. My girls were so excited about their new bunk bed, but upon assembling it, the amount of damage found straight out of the box was appalling. The white overlay on the metal had been chipped and torn apart in multiple places throughout the entire piece. There was rust in a few different areas and one of the piping inserts had a huge dent in it to the point where it was impossible to secure in its proper place without being warped by a hammer back into a circle (the photo I uploaded was taken AFTER we had already begun hammering it). I couldn't believe it, either someone at the company royally screwed up, or this thing took the truck ride from hell. I was excited to finally have a proper bed off the ground, possibly didn't hurt my back, and would let my friend stay over. I put it in sofa mode, then put it back down. I did this a few times. It was pretty difficult. I've had a number of futons, even a futon bunk bed, and I've never had such trouble switching between the new modes. Well, found out it was because the struts that are there to "pull" the bed together once a side of it is lifted up bent. So.. now I have to take the entire futon off to switch it. I then also have to choose between a pretty stable sofa to be uncomfortable on or a bed that dips in the middle. Don't even get me started how much the top bunk shakes. Just... Ugh. Worst thing I've ever purchased. Unfortunately the packaging is almost LITERALLY DESIGNED to be shredded when you open it. So you throw it away well now how do you return it? Just... Worst purchase. Bothered Amazon still carries it. I will almost never give something a 1 star but this absolutely is an unsafe bed for any teenagers or adults. If you have kids... Well, I'd get something safer, honestly. But it is cheap. Included a picture where the futon sofa mechanism is bent and digging into (and bending) one of the supports. Skip it.;;LithiumFox;;;Premiium quality, very sturdy black metal bunk bed frame- really attractive sleek look and space saver. Got this for my 2 kids that are aged 7 years old and 3 years old. My parents got me & my sister a wooden bunk bed when I was in elementary school - that wooden bunk bed made me think that all wooden bunks are just junk, no matter how pretty they look in pictures. My sister and I broke the slats on the top bunk of that wooden bunk bed years ago, within 2 weeks of being installed in our room (broke under the weight of the mattress when I bounced a little too hard), rendering it dangerous and useless. So I knew I'd never get one for my kids. This ultra strong metal frame bunk bed is more than perfect - love it. I love that the top bunk rail is also high enough that even with the mattress in, the railing still gives 4-5 inches above the mattress so in case my son rolls around while he sleeps, he will not roll off. On the bottom bunk, there is roomy space for a full size + bed. Cant say enough good things about this sleek, strong, sturdy bunk bed that is worth more than the price we paid for it. LOVE it. Worth every dime of purchase and sooooo glad we got it. ADDED: I also wanted to add that this bunk bed has no sharp edges anywhere. I was trying to hang some clothes on it, and realized that there are no sharp edges anywhere - it is such high quality made specifically for kids that the builders made sure that everything is rounded. Kids cant stab themselves accidentally on any edges. Everything is round and smooth. Again- LOVE this bunk bed. So so glad I got it- such a great (reasonable / inexpensive) price for such a premium quality product.;;Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;very sturdy black metal bunk bed frame- really attractive sleek look ...;;P. Dixon;;;I waited a couple of months first before reviewing. It gets 5 stars for my household, the bedroom that my boys share is long and narrow so I got this bed based solely on the ladder being on the side of the bed as opposed to being built into the top or bottom of the bed. It is perfect for their room, it fits prefectly against the backwall only leaving a few inches on the top and bottom sides between the walls. To put in in lengthwise would not leave alot of room for them to move around their room, this way it leaves them enough floor space for them to move about. When my oldest son put it together for them, it did not take him but an hour or so and did it alone as no one was there to help him at the time and he said it was easy enough to assemble. The bed is sturdy and had been used daily since receiving it with no problems at all. The frame does not seem to be loosening at all. I would recommend this for anyone that has tight living space because it works perfectly for us and I know I like the boys to have some floor space available in their room, and after a few months of use is holding sturdy.;;Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2015;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;good, sturdy bed;;theresa
