The sensor often takes too long to respond, sometimes 5 to 10 seconds before it detects and activates ***Update: I retested with a replacement unit the company sent me. This time, I used both a measurement tool and a stopwatch to verify performance. Based on my testing, I believe the device is functioning as designed and is a quality product. I tested it from 1 to 18 feet, the range I planned to use it for, and found that detection/activation occurs within 2–3 seconds. I had hoped for a faster response time (around 1 second or less), but overall, the build quality is solid.     • Great for backyard wildlife
We have deer that come after dark, and we like to watch them. They come at different times. This is great. We have a small lamp in the house, and when it turns on, we know to look out and watch them. Adjustable sensitivity allos us to ignore small animals like squirrels and chipmunks.

We got things that go bump in the night around here. A LOT!!! These "things" walk an four legs and some walk on two. The four legged ones are very quiet. The others wake up the shotgun with a 10,000 lumen spot light on the barrel. I have a 4 foot fluorescent that hangs of the front of the home. When this device triggers, it stops mosquito's in their tracks. I have gone one step further... Put a battery backup in the mix and with the power out, I get to clean up soled underwear of those two legged idiots who dare to trespass while my power company gets a fix-it crew out of bed. So???
