But the life of this jacket’s battery certainly is no worse than others. We’ve yet to test the jacket in serious cold, but it appears to heat well and evenly. The coils in both the front and back do a good job wrapping the torso in warmth. And the zipper is seemingly well made and easy to use.

I bought this one size up because all the heated stuff I have bought in my experience runs small however, this is true to size. It’s a lot thicker than I expected since I was thinking it was a thin fleece. This is thick like a coat and gets nice and toasty! Since it’s too big for me my husband will keep it!

I found the sleeves a little long, and the thumb holes in the sleeves are worthless to me (I wear gloves anyway) heats up quickly. On high it gets a bit too hot for the cold we have had, but it kept me warm on low in 29 degrees farenheit . Good battery life on lower temperatures.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present this year. He absolutely loves it!!!! He did buy another battery because he is outside a lot. I gave it to him early because it was so cold very early this year and he was nice and warm, there are 3 settings either way he is very warm and loves it It is long enough to cover his waist down to mid down to his buttocks. Wind proof, and the weight isn’t overly heavy but it is still extremely warm.

So as i sit here in 9 degrees weather, mind you 20 ft in a treestand with a mild wind, i figured this would be a great time for a review. I have owned this jacket with hoodie for 2 seasons. Other than the batteries being expensive,i haveto rate this jacket all of a 4.5 star. Early season when 38 to lets say 45 all i use is polypropylene expedition weight long sleeve,then a thin camo turtle neck over that. Then the heated jacket. I keep it on low and life is good. If it get a bit colder then I will include my thin wool sweater into the conversation. Now when its 9 out and eve zero f. I use the poly, the thin turtleneck then the jacket on low, but the kicker is then i put my insulated parka over the electric jacket. I leave it on low and i am aok. Along with my electric socks I am cozy for 3 to 4 hours. I keep 2.extra battery's in case. Quality seems very well made. Good zippers, and the hoodie i was thinking of not getting, but that would have been a mistake. I did take off a lot of the velcro stuff , flag . Some of it is very noisy and no need for a hunter. Anyways thats about it. So far so very good.

The battery keeps on disabling so you have to disconnect and reconnect, reconnect and then its ok, a very major issue The jacket seems to be nicely made and i like it when it functions but it seems every day i have to go through above routine when i want to use it….too frustrating to make me want to iuse it!
