    • Much more capable than my old miter saw
I upgraded to the 780 from the 716 miter saw. I love my 716 miter saw but found I really needed the sliding feature of the 780 for cutting wider boards. The 780 has not disappointed. I recently built some floating shelves in my downstairs closet and the saw cut through my 1 1/2” thick 12” wide boards like butter. I love being able to cut wider boards now. Speaking of love, I really love the LED cut line feature. It casts a shadow of the blade on what you are cutting so you know exactly where the blade is going to cut. I added a laser to my 716, which worked pretty good, but it is no where’s near as good as the 780. I got this 780 saw on sale for Prime Day so I basically got the stand for free. The stand is very nice and allows me to easily cut long boards. It is very easy to connect/disconnect the saw from the stand and when not in use, the stand folds up nicely to a compact size that takes up very little space. I am very, very pleased with this saw. It allows me to do much more than I could with my 716. I highly recommend the saw. ... show more

    • Best saw I’ve ever owned
Only complaint is that this saw is heavy and with that taking it on and off the stand is sometimes an issue. The brackets lock on and you can’t pick it up easily and unlock it off the legs. The saw itself is accurate and functions well. Probably the best miter saw I’ve ever owned over the 4 I’ve had. ... show more
