  • Most Powerful Cordless Saw
I questioned if I should buy the 20 volt or 60 volt saw. Decided to move up to the latter after being impressed with other 60 volt tools. Was a great choice because this saw rips like no other I have used. Put my 15 amp corded Super Sawzall to shame. Then with the 20 volt Dewalt side by side cutting green treated 4x4's proved I will never go back! Was worried about the kickback of this saw but the extra weight and extreme power allowed it to cut with ease and smoothness that I have never had with a reciprocating saw before. Cons: This thing is a pro grade saw that come with the price and weight to match. It is very heavy and would not want to stand with this thing above my head for long periods of time. ... show more

  • Best Reciprocating Saw I own. Dewalt gets an AAAA+ from me on this Flexvolt 60V Reciprocating Saw.
The best Reciprocating saw i own. This is a great tool and I use it every few days. It seems to be as powerful as my corded reciprocating saws. The only complaint I have is it is a bit heavier than I wish it were. Other than that it is a GREAT SAW!! I highly recommend this saw to others. I now use it instead of my chainsaw for all my trimming. No gas or oil to worry about. This is a workhorse of a saw. I was hesitant because of the price but now I say it is one of the best tool investments I've ever made and I wish I had bought this a lot sooner. You won't go wrong with this saw. Dewalt gets an AAAA+ from me on this 60V Saw. ... show more

2018.05.21 ... Dewalt DCS388B ... This thing is a monster. I bought this to do a job that was killing my hands and it worked wonderfully. The only set back I had at all was that while trying to man-handle the saw, gripping it in different manners, the battery unlatched a couple of times. The 60v batteries hold on for a long time. This is a tool that I will most likely have the rest of my life. If I had to do it over again, I am fairly confident that I would buy this saw again. ... show more

  • Doesn't slow down and cuts through everything quickly
Didn't slow down. Took down a whole shed with it and it ate through everything with a good carbide tipped blade. Nails, aluminum, sheathing, asphalt shingles, studs - no problem. I have 6ah batteries that didn't last 6 hours but they were really taxed and this is more of a review on the tool not the batteries. We had another couple recip saws to work with in the demo and we just tossed them aside to use this once we saw how much better it was. My only gripe was the weight but it's to be expected with a 60v battery. I'd be curious to see how it holds up against the Milwaukee. ... show more

  • Blade change out is finicky
Owned it for a couple months now. Runs great and good power. Only real complaint is that it can be difficult to remove the blade.

  • Heavier than expected
It has all the power I could hope for (though sounds a bit odd) Blade clamp is DWs norm and one of the best out there They did 'freeze' the "shoe" (tool to work surface rest) which in itself is not a big deal (who really ever adjusted theirs) except ... honestly I find it 3/4 too short AND this beast IS HEAVY .... way heavier than it's 20V brother and way heavier than my corded units ..... but it's fabulous to keep in truck for 'on the spot' needs Now a nag - not so much on tool - but mine came 'incomplete' only half the factory box and only spanish manual ..... makes me a bit concerned about the source ... show more

  • This tool is very well built and I enjoy using both the 20v and 60v tools
This tool is for heavy duty cutting where the weight of the tool adds to the cutting process. This tool is a few pounds heaver than the smaller 20V saw. And you should understand the appropriate tool for the work to be done. This tool is very well built and I enjoy using both the 20v and 60v tools.

  • So far so good! Very powerful
So far so good! Very powerful. Have been using with a pruning blade and trimming my 100 year old oak tree. I have one of these at work and was palletizing some conveyor beds, needed to trim some 2x4’s, piece of cake. Only down side is battery consumption. Coworker said he burned two batteries cutting up rough cut hardwood pallets... betting he made a lot of cuts, but never fun to run out of power. If you have the yellow fast charger I think you can charge a 2ah battery in an hour. ... show more
