The criticism of excessive play in the chuck is way overstated. The quick change chuck is outstanding as well as the two speed function. Also the reversible quick change handle is very handy. I’m beyond thrilled with the purchase.

Game changer

This tool saved my career. I drill a lot of holes. With a hand drill reaching out two to three feet and applying enough pressure to cut the hole was painful, and resulted in loss of precision. The first photo shows that there is no need to drill the pilot all the way through. Just enough to align the bit - time saver, wrist saver. The second photo shows the accuracy of the cut. The third photo shows a cut made without even a machinist punch. Some holes can be a little bit sloppy ;) It cut my production time in half. I don’t need to take a day off after drilling for a day. If you drill a lot of holes buy this tool. Talk your boss, spouse, parents, your self... into buying this tool. The price is high, but you get what you pay for. It’s a game changer.

Bought this to drill through some 1/2 inch plate that I couldn't get under my fixed drill press. Hard to believe how quickly and clean it cuts. Wish that I had bought it years ago.

Great Addition to Shop Capabilities and a Keeper

I bought this for a one time project and figured I'd sell it when done. Nope, I really liked the versatility and used it a handful of times more and I'm sure more in the future. I bought an annular cutter set plus have silver and deming drills and it handles both equally. It does have enough travel for those drill bits. I would prefer even slower speed for the drills but the annualars don't seem to mind the speed. Magnet is very strong and is easy to turn on and off. The case is very nice and this is one tool I keep in the case because it stores better that way and isn't used often enough. Some of the listings say 220V but it was 110V.

As good if not better than...

Before this one, I had an Evolution S42 which it was not bad but their service/warranty would not works in Puerto Rico. Glad I did made the switch! This one is far better built, more powerful and they do have warranty in Puerto Rico. That quick change chuck is very easy to use and contrary as some people say, is accurate Mine is used as a drill press and the holes come out perfect.
