I’ve been buying into the Dewalt tools as I replace my older Ryobi ones. I think the quality is better and this tool is one of those. It’s powerful, does the job cleanly and is easy to use.

I bought this to trim some doors that I made on chicken coop, as they were expanding due to the weather and too tight for the frames. It worked flawlessly to trim down the two inside of a 2x4 constructed door. I also used it to trim down my nesting box doors as well and it worked fall asleep there. I had a two amp hour battery pack on it, and it used negligible power for my 5 minutes of operation. I'm happy to have this one in my toolbox.

It works very well and in the area where I could use it, it would absolutely great. However, it's a lot bigger than I expected and a lot heavier (even without a battery), so it was awkward or even impossible to use in some areas where I didn't have enough room (had to do some fence adjustments for lights). That said, this thing is a keeper -- always wanted one and I'm not disappointed with its quality.

super fine adjustments . Removes tiny pieces if you need to without messing overall dimensions of the work piece. Pleasure to work with this tool. Don't buy cheap $50 planers on Amazon, they will cost you 10 times in destroyed wood projects. Cheap ones will take off minimum of 1mm while this one goes down to 0.01mm. Very happy with this product, worth the money.
