  • Perfect for the Job
Style: 20V Max Drywall Screwgun Bare Tool
**Review: DEWALT 20V MAX* XR Drywall Screw Gun** As a professional carpenter with a variety of jobs, I recently invested in the DEWALT 20V MAX* XR Drywall Screw Gun, and it has become an indispensable tool in my collection. **Pros:** 1. **Cordless Convenience:** The 20V MAX* XR battery provides plenty of power without the hassle of cords. It allows for greater mobility and ease of use, especially when working in tight or remote areas. 2. **Efficient Performance:** This screw gun is specifically designed for drywall, and it shows. It delivers consistent, high-speed performance, making drywall installation much faster and easier. 3. **Ergonomic Design:** The tool is lightweight and well-balanced, which reduces hand fatigue during extended use. The grip is comfortable, and the overall design makes it easy to handle. 4. **Adjustable Nosecone:** The adjustable nosecone feature is great for setting screws to the perfect depth, ensuring a professional finish every time. It’s also easy to remove for cleaning or when changing bits. 5. **LED Light:** The built-in LED light is a nice touch, illuminating the work area and making it easier to see in low-light conditions. This is particularly useful when working in poorly lit rooms or at night. 6. **Battery Life:** The XR battery provides long-lasting power, allowing me to complete large sections of drywall without needing to recharge frequently. This saves time and keeps the workflow smooth. **Cons:** 1. **Price:** As with many DEWALT products, the price is on the higher side. However, considering the performance and durability, it is a worthwhile investment for professionals. 2. **Bit Holder:** The bit holder could be improved. It’s functional but could be more secure to prevent bits from falling out during transport or use. Overall, the DEWALT 20V MAX* XR Drywall Screw Gun is an excellent tool for any professional carpenter. Its cordless convenience, efficient performance, and thoughtful design features make it a valuable addition to my toolkit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve their drywall installation process! ... show more

  • Great tool
Style: 20V Max Drywall Screwgun Bare Tool
Bought this to finish a big drywall job as I got tired of the regular sinker bits. Dewalt did an outstanding job with this tool. It drives the screws really well and sinks them perfect, even on a slight angle. The depth adjustment is great and simple to use and it’s also noteworthy that you can take the nose off if you need to revers a screw out. ... show more

  • Its good
Style: 20V Max Drywall Screwgun Bare Tool
Works well but wont drive the screws deep enough if at an angle, like in corners. It will work well if its straight, and does drive the screws fast. A little pricey for someone who does ocasional drywall i would say in my opinion. Works well with any dewalt battery.

  • Quick and efficient!
Style: 20V Max Drywall Screwgun Bare Tool
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I do a lot of DIY drywall and wish I had bought this years ago. The gun holds the screws really well with magnet tip so you can drive 1 handed. This always sets the screw to perfect depth over and over. There is a slight learning curve but after one 4x8' sheet you will have the hang of it. I sure it was in the instructions but who reads those. TL;DR pull the trigger before you push the screw and spin up the driver before push. There is a clutch in the gun that helps drive the screw in as its not an impact tool. The impact sounds you may hear are the clutch slipping. ... show more

  • Made for a small child
Style: 20V Max Drywall Screwgun Bare Tool
I bet I own over 50 DeWalt tools and over 10 different guns, drills, hammers, impacts, and they all are pretty much ergonomically perfect. You can hold onto them all day without straining or hurting your hands. This drywall screw gun is pretty much the exact opposite. When I took it out of the box at first I figured I didn’t understand how to hold it, but after about five minutes of use and trying every different style of holding it, I realized it was just made for your two bottom fingers, or incredibly small hands, making it very awkward and uncomfortable to hold. Also has too much crap molded onto it and tough to grab or even lay on your thigh. The technology and business end of his gun worked pretty well, and I’m sure after getting used to all the different features it would be a great gun. However, unless this is a new tool line made exclusively for petite females or children, this is the most uncomfortable gun and tool I’ve ever owned. After 10 minutes of use use, I unscrewed the belt clip and put it back in the box. Unless you are a child, please do not buy the gun. The DCF620 looks like a normal sized pistol grip, I guess I’ll try that. ... show more
