Description

The 20V MAX XR Brushless Drywall Screwgun is a cordless solution for installing drywall and uses the same battery and charger as your other 20V MAX tools. This cordless screwgun provides greater speed than the DW272 corded screwgun, with up to 4,400 RPM. The nose cone locks on securely and can be adjusted to 3 different screw depths. To drive screws more quickly, use the compatible DCF6201 Collated Magazine Attachment with this screwgun.

It works good, sometimes stops with the 2 inch screws on drywall, and you need to use a 4 amp battery, the only problem in my case is that it turn off working the extra functions, just off, no light, but after that works like normal screw gun

The screw gun is a lot more ergonomic than the previous model. It’s lighter than the previous dcf620 model. The stem/ handle is shorter so bigger batteries don’t feel as heavy compared to using them with the dcf620. The angle also makes it so that with the weight of the battery, the gun naturally positions itself to go straight when screwing off walls. With the previous model you kinda had to fight the weight of the battery. The top belt clip can get in the way when screwing off corners, but it’s removable. It has 450 more rpms than the previous model and you can feel the difference if you do a lot of drywall work. Clutch feels smoother as well. If you do a lot of drywall work this is definitely a good upgrade. Side note, some guys use their drywall guns to do light steel stud framing (I don’t), but this version is nice because you can switch to speed 1 so the screws don’t spin as fast which means you won’t be stripping screws or get any kickback. The main feature of this new model is the automatic activation when preassure is applied. It works very well and there's a noticeable decrease in fatigue to one's hand. There's also a low power and regular power setting but I never use them because low power is never really needed and regular power is noticeably slower than when in automatic mode. The drill is also more compact then the previous model so it helps when getting into tighter spaces and anyone with smaller hands will likely find it more comfortable. I reccomend it to anyone who will be sheetrocking or atleast driving in screws all day long for multiple days on end. Might take some getting used to for anyone who owned a previous model. ... show more
