Description

The SD Driver with Screw Holder is for professionals or DIY-ers that have a lot of work to get done. Using a manual screwdriver can strain your hands pretty quickly, and everyone drops fasteners and bits on the ground. Eliminate those two problems with this semi-automatic driver and bit changer—with a screw holder built right in. You just press the orange button on the tip to get the jaws to accept the screw. Then with just one hand, you can maneuver into tight spaces and drill it home. The jaws work when you need to back screws out, too. Your six favorite bits are stored onboard, and you cycle between them by shifting the top piece back towards you. With 0-230 revs/min of no-load speed, you’ll have enough torque to handle the most common screwdriver applications. And the LED headlamp lets you see what you’re doing, even in the dark. The internal 4V battery will hold a charge for up to 18 months, so you can toss the SD Driver on a shelf and it’ll be ready to go the next time you pick it up. A charger comes with it, as does the reloadable bit cartridge, which is stocked with 6 of the most common bits already. Save your hands and stop losing bits and fasteners. Get screws into places you never thought possible before. The SD Driver with Screw Holder is a solution to a couple of problems that come with using a regular screwdriver. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about those anymore.

  • This may be my new favorite tool.
Style: WX255L-AC
I’m a family handyman/amateur woodworker, so I have quite a collection of power tools. For a long time, I balked at the idea of an electric screwdriver—“I have screwdrivers, and I have a drill. Why do I need a underpowered hybrid of the two?” But, then we started getting into hobby RC cars. Doing work on them with a manual screwdriver is tedious, but a drill (even on the lowest setting) is too powerful, stripping out the plastic parts quickly. Plus, a full sized drill is too big for tight spaces and for my son to use. The guys at the hobby shop all use little electric screwdrivers, so I figured I’d give it a try. I wish I’d have gotten this a long time ago! This thing is awesome. It’s small and light enough for use in tight spaces, not so high-torqued as to cause issues with small parts, and just darn handy. I LOVE being able to preload up my six favorite bits and quickly switch between them without setting it down. Frankly, I think there will be a lot of times that I’ll reach for this instead of my full sized Ridgid cordless drill. It’s just easier and lighter and works sufficiently for even most of my woodworking needs, with less risk of stripping or over tightening. It recharges on a micro-usb cable, which is convenient, and everything seems to work fantastically on it. The only feature that is “missing” on this that I would find helpful is a torque adjustment, like what is found on most cordless drills. But, that would be difficult to implement in such a small package (I doubt many, if any, electric screwdrivers have this), and it’s kind of torque-limited by design anyhow. So that’s really not-picking. Overall, fantastic little tool. I’ll probably get a couple as gifts for family/friends this Christmas. ... show more

  • Great Tool!
Style: WX255L-AC
Great Tool! I bought this cordless electric screwdriver 5 1/2 years ago. I use it often and it's still going strong. It has strong torque to put a screw in almost anything. The battery still charges up and lasts a long time. This has been one of the best purchases I'm made on Amazon!

  • Best Screw diver I have ever had
Style: WX255L-AC
Every once in awhile I buy a tool that exceeds my expectations. This WORX electric screwdriver is one of those items. It's got plenty of power for even long screws and the screw holder works great.

  • Solid build, adequate driving force, easey to use, and super helpful for projects.
Style: WX255L-AC
I wasn't previously familiar with this brand but it perfectly fit the role I had in mind for it, and ultimately I'm glad I took a chance on it. It's not the most flashy or most powerful tool, but it's the best electric screwdriver I've used because it's designed for convenience rather than power for the tasks in mind for it. Since you can load the bit holder to specifically address a project, and the screw holder on the front allows one-handed use, it cuts down on the frustrating repetition and the headaches that can come with it. Granted it's not going to be good for large or structural projects, though I did find it can drive at least a few drywall screws into a 2x4 without a pilot hole without issue. It's not very fast about it, and it won't do more than a handful, but it will drive them in and that's most important. Its best role is DIY repair jobs around the house, and the assembly of Ikea and similar DIY furniture. Since you can load up a screw on the holder and have a free hand to line up multiple pieces you can quickly get several shelves assembled in one evening by yourself. After about the fourth basic bookshelf the battery will definitely be drained, but that's pretty good for a non-removable battery. I'm definitely impressed with it, and highly recommend it for any DIY/home repair tool box. The only things that keep it from being 5-star perfect for me is it could use a second LED light; the one light is useful but casts too much shadow by itself. Secondly the handle could be a little more comfortable, although I will say the long trigger is a smart design. While it seemed weird at first, I don't have to worry about fatigue in a single finger since it's more of a palm trigger. Lastly, I'd like the LED to activate from a partial trigger pull rather than only coming on from a full pull, which obviously activates the tool. If you do that to have the LED illuminated then the spinning screw can hit the edge of a hole and scratch the surface. I've been using it for nearly a year and it's still working strong and consistently. ... show more

  • Great innovation, extremely convenient
Style: WX255L-AC
This is not a replacement for a heavy duty or professional grade drill, but is exactly what it is supposed to be, a convenient, light duty drill. I love that I don’t have to find bits or store them separately. I like that I can replace the bits with higher grade standard size. I do wish it had variable speed, and it would be better if the bits rotated with the “cocking” action. I bought two more for gifts for family who raved about it, one is an electrician and couldn’t wait to get it ... show more

  • Best tool purchase I've made in a long time!
Style: WX255L-AC
I've been using this 3-4 days a week since I purchased it a few months ago. It is super reliable and handy. The screw holder is a great idea, but could use a redesign to flip out of the way when not needed instead of requiring it be removed entirely. I think I've lost it from the last time I had to take it off! The revolver-style bit holder is a genius idea, and I love how I can switch the bits out with the types I use most frequently. The light, magnetic operation, and strong but not too strong driver are a perfect combination. I am able to drive into most wood, drywall and thin metal (with self-tapping screws) with little effort, and have only had to charge it four times so far! The logo paint has mostly worn off the side, but looks don't matter much to me. Only other recommendation I would have for Worx would be to have a belt holster or attachable belt clip, though it fits well sticking out of my back pocket when needed. ... show more

Love this product!! For a woman around the house, it is so lightweight and easy to use to tighten furniture or drawer screws and you don't have to wait on the man of the house! Great product!

  • Convenience but limited power
Style: WX255L-AC
This seemed like such a great buy but as I've used it I've realized that it has many limitations. This is great for minor jobs where serious torque is not necessary. I don't use it much but I show my wife and daughter how to use it in case they need to tighten a drawer knob.
