Description

The SD Driver with Screw Holder is for professionals or DIY-ers that have a lot of work to get done. Using a manual screwdriver can strain your hands pretty quickly, and everyone drops fasteners and bits on the ground. Eliminate those two problems with this semi-automatic driver and bit changer—with a screw holder built right in. You just press the orange button on the tip to get the jaws to accept the screw. Then with just one hand, you can maneuver into tight spaces and drill it home. The jaws work when you need to back screws out, too. Your six favorite bits are stored onboard, and you cycle between them by shifting the top piece back towards you. With 0-230 revs/min of no-load speed, you’ll have enough torque to handle the most common screwdriver applications. And the LED headlamp lets you see what you’re doing, even in the dark. The internal 4V battery will hold a charge for up to 18 months, so you can toss the SD Driver on a shelf and it’ll be ready to go the next time you pick it up. A charger comes with it, as does the reloadable bit cartridge, which is stocked with 6 of the most common bits already. Save your hands and stop losing bits and fasteners. Get screws into places you never thought possible before. The SD Driver with Screw Holder is a solution to a couple of problems that come with using a regular screwdriver. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about those anymore.

  • This may be my new favorite tool.
I’m a family handyman/amateur woodworker, so I have quite a collection of power tools. For a long time, I balked at the idea of an electric screwdriver—“I have screwdrivers, and I have a drill. Why do I need a underpowered hybrid of the two?” But, then we started getting into hobby RC cars. Doing work on them with a manual screwdriver is tedious, but a drill (even on the lowest setting) is too powerful, stripping out the plastic parts quickly. Plus, a full sized drill is too big for tight spaces and for my son to use. The guys at the hobby shop all use little electric screwdrivers, so I figured I’d give it a try. I wish I’d have gotten this a long time ago! This thing is awesome. It’s small and light enough for use in tight spaces, not so high-torqued as to cause issues with small parts, and just darn handy. I LOVE being able to preload up my six favorite bits and quickly switch between them without setting it down. Frankly, I think there will be a lot of times that I’ll reach for this instead of my full sized Ridgid cordless drill. It’s just easier and lighter and works sufficiently for even most of my woodworking needs, with less risk of stripping or over tightening. It recharges on a micro-usb cable, which is convenient, and everything seems to work fantastically on it. The only feature that is “missing” on this that I would find helpful is a torque adjustment, like what is found on most cordless drills. But, that would be difficult to implement in such a small package (I doubt many, if any, electric screwdrivers have this), and it’s kind of torque-limited by design anyhow. So that’s really not-picking. Overall, fantastic little tool. I’ll probably get a couple as gifts for family/friends this Christmas. ... show more

  • Great electric tool.
Used this now several times. Love it. So easy to use, light weight, and the screw holder is great.

  • This thing is incredible!!
I've never been this impressed with an electric screwdriver like I have been with this one. Been using it on almost all projects for the last month or so and I've only charged it once. The light makes it super convenient to see where to put the point of the screw and the screw holder mechanism is an absolute godsend. I do wish the handle pivoted, but the pistol grip and bit changing motion is honestly what makes it the most worth it. You pull all the way back and the bit changes to the next one, then push forward and the new bit is ready to use. It makes you feel kinda badass every time you do it too lmao. I had fun chasing my daughter around playing cops and robbers cocking the gun to stop the bad guy. The best part is you can populate the bit holder with any bit of that size you want. Torx, flathead, philips, allen, all of them work with it as long as they're the same diameter. If you're a diy junkie like I am, this is an absolute must have in your tool bag! ... show more

  • Pretty Nice, could be better
I'll start to say I like this driver enough to keep it, mainly because of the nifty driver bit holder. In fact, I like it well enough to recommend it to a friend. What I like: The weight and size of this is quite nice. The barrel bit holder is a great idea and works pretty well , I do enjoy having all the bits integrated into the driver. I also like it doesn't require a special bit because I removed the flat head bits and put in the star bits that I use more frequently. What's annoying: Although the bit barrel is nice, it jams a lot when trying to rotate it. I think the bits get a bit misaligned causing it to not spin. So it takes a bit of patience sometimes to get it to rotate. It's also not exactly easy to use an extension, which I seem to need more often than I realized. I do wish the unit at least had a way to store an extension right on the driver for easy access. What I don't like: Strangely the handle isn't ergonomic, it's angled rear-ward and actually hurts my wrist a bit (due to arthritis) and the angle doesn't seem natural. It seems like an angle closer to 90 degrees would have been better. Also, it has a light on it pointed in the direction of work. But the light only comes on when the driver is spinning, making it pretty useless. The light should come on with light pressure on the trigger, and then more pressure would cause it to also spin. This driver comes with yet another attempt at a screw holder, and it fails like so many others. Fortunately it was made to be removed, because not only is it not very effective it's also very bulky. I wish there was a way to "park" it without a bit pointing out. I had to keep one of the slots empty so I can store it without a bit engaged. That's probably just a personal thing, but it would have been nice to have a way to store it without a bit engaged and without having to use up a valuable spot in the barrel. ... show more
