I bought this with an adapter, bc I needed it for my 2 older dewalt saws; this charger stays red, where my others stay green. I did read the instructions, but wanted to ask other purchasers to be sure, & YES- as another user so rudely ‘mansplained’ it stays red. I use my tools on a regular basis,& have three brands of tools; this is the only charger I have that stays red at full charge. Learn something new every day. ... show more

I needed a vibrating cutter and got a DeWalt tool, but didn't have my charger and batteries for my 20V drill with me where I was staying for this project. I did some heavy, extended cutting at the highest speed to slice through old lath and plaster, and was satisfied with the battery life. The %-of-charge LED indicator is a nice feature, allowing me to schedule my work sequence to allow for a charging break since I didn't want to buy two batteries just for this project.
