  • 8x10 Assembly 8x10 Assembly
Color: Gray Size: 10x8 FT without Floor Frame
Just finished assembling 8x10 unit. Unlike other units this unit is actually slightly bigger than 8 x10. We made a base 9 x 11 which worked out well. You definitely need a base. The base pictured used 2x6 PT for outer frame and 2x4 PT on 2 ft centers for cross member supports. Used 4x8x 7/16 OSB for the floor. Did a water seal on the OSB before assembling the shed since it isn’t PT. You definitely need a base if you aren’t assembling on concrete in order for all the holes to line up. Make sure the bottom frame of the shed is squared by measuring from diagonal corners to make sure equal distance. Secure the bottom shed frame to the base to keep it squared during assembly. The instructions were good and generally went together without significant issues. You’ll need to be careful attaching the top frame. The top frame on each side has a groove instead of individual holes so you’ll need to careful with the corners in order for roof panels to line up correctly. You may need to make adjustments in process. We managed to assemble the entire shed with only drilling two holes when attaching the final trim piece as the holes were off father than could be adjusted. Half the panels have a protective coating. After removing the film from one panel we chose to leave the rest covered as it took about 20 minutes to peel the film off the first panel. We’ll deal with the film a little at a time in the future. You can use an electric screw driver but it needs to have a torque adjustment. Some of the screws can strip if you aren’t careful but there about 450-500 screws which is more than we wanted to do by hand. We chose to apply dab of acrylic seal on each to the exposed roof panel screws as the included plastic washers didn’t cover some of the holes entirely due to alignment. It rained the day after we finished and the inside remained dry without leaks so the deal was a good choice. You definitely need two people for assembly of some of work. I recommend having a folding table to layout all the hardware to keep from having to continuously bend over to grab screws. Also recommend removing everything from the two boxes and laying them out to keep from having to continuously dig through the boxes to find the piece or pieces you are looking for. Actual assembly time with two people was about 13 hours over three days. Leveling the ground and assembling the base was about 4 hours. We had all the base lumber cut to size at Home Depot so we could start assembling as soon as we got home. You may question the the rigidity of the unit as you are assembling but once everything is completed the unit is pretty solid, more than I anticipated. Overall we are satisfied and felt the unit went together pretty easily. ... show more

  • Nice shed. Worth the money.
Color: Brown Size: 5x3 FT without Floor Frame
Worth every dollar!! My nephew put this shed together by himself in a day. It would have been even less time except he added a wood floor base. He said it went together quite easily. I have it on my porch for easy access since I'm 74 yrs old. It keeps out the rain and critters from things I need to store. Good item!! ... show more

  • Nice Small Shed
Color: Brown Size: 5x3 FT without Floor Frame
Expected dings and dents. Ours arrived looking like it was shipped out of Ukraine on the outside, but the inside was still largely pristine. Though it had some dents and dings here and there all of them minor. Assembly is a pain. The instructions are just not that good and it is easy to get several steps backwards. If you find the screw holes aren't lining up, then you probably did the previous step backwards. This happened to us 3 times. We had to undo major steps, reverse how we assembled it, then put it back together. This added at least 2 hours to the construction. We are bizarre instruction, large mail order assembly experts and it still was a PITA to assemble. I see several reviews that say holes don't line up, and this is correct if the previous step was done backwards, just take it apart and do it again. Also, be careful not to overtighten any screws, some of them strip out very easily, ours has 3 or 4 that striped out. Some of the joints are flimsy enough that they strip the screws very easily. Once it is assemble it is fairly stiff and strong, I wouldn't be sheltering in this during a windstorm, but it holds together fairly well. It is easy to move around to, we had to debut it in about 4 different locations before we found a spot we liked it. I do recommend a concreate pad to put this on, the door is low enough to the ground that it catches on any stray grass that happens to get in its way. Plus it is narrow enough that being able to secure it down gives piece of mind it isn't going to fall over. Adding shelves and hangers is somewhat of a pain since there really aren't any beefy structural supports inside to attach to. This all sounds like I should give it 3 stars, but it is all aluminum so should last nicely, it is stable when finished, has a very nice look to it and holds all our stuff pretty well, including an electric lawn mower. So overall we are happy. ... show more

  • Pain to assemble, needs touch up work, decent quality shed Pain to assemble, needs touch up work, decent quality shed
Color: Brown Size: 10x8 FT without Floor Frame
Alright so got a bit of ground to cover here. I’ll preface this by saying that if you’re assembling this and you don’t have much experience with assembly, the instructions are a nightmare. I consider myself pretty handy with tools. Overall, between building the platform and assembling the shed, I’d say give yourself about 10-12 hours to get this all done if you’re solo. After getting everything assembled just a couple days ago, I now have water dripping into my shed. All plastic washers were used that were needed, but the issue was that some holes were not lining up properly. I will be going over what I can reach with silicone to try and seal up any orifices, but this is already a red flag for me. There is plenty of storage capacity, which is a huge plus, but the materials are so thin and inexpensive that you cannot count on hanging anything off of it. If you do, use command strips and only hang very light things. Alternatively, make/purchase free-standing shelves. I originally bought this back in October of last year. I started assembly as soon as it arrived, but discovered it was missing crucial parts to finish the framing. Those took a couple weeks to receive, and by the time I could dedicate more time to the project, it began to snow/freeze. Putting together metal anything outside in freezing temperatures wasn’t my idea of a good time. Lastly, the doors don’t close properly. I’ve tried messing with the hinges, even tried bending framing in a way to account for the mis-alignment, but simply put, it’s just a hair too snug and about a 1/4 inch off, which is enough to allow me to shut the door without lifting the left side. There’s likely a better quality shed out there to purchase folks, but if you’re not worried about stuff taking on light rain, this will do the trick, I just don’t expect the platform to last long due to the fact that I can’t climb on the roof to seal all the seams and stop the water intrusion. ... show more

Took about 7 hours with two people building. One who is a construction worker and builds for a living. Pretty easy concept but dealing with hundred of tiny screws and tiny gaskets and holes not lining up made it very time consuming. The directions were at times confusing to understand. Very flimsy while building. Had to make shift some holes to get things to fit properly. One major disappointment: one side wall slate was completely missing. Another thing a couple screw holes were so big the tiny screws would fall out. But once built it does feel a bit more sturdy and does the job for a fraction of the cost. You get what you pay for. ... show more

  • difficult build
Color: Brown Size: 5x3 FT without Floor Frame
I really wanted to like this shed, but it was a frustrating build that left me disappointed. The instructions were poorly written and unclear, making the whole process much harder than it needed to be. Getting the frame square was a real struggle—nothing lined up easily, and I had to fight with it for a long time. The awnings were the wrong length, which was surprising for a brand-new kit. The metal also bent way too easily, so I had to be extremely careful (and still ended up with some minor dents). Worst of all, the markings on some parts were so confusing that I had to partially assemble and then disassemble sections multiple times just to figure out the correct orientation. It eventually went together, but the experience was far more aggravating than it should have been for the price. I wouldn't recommend this shed unless you're very handy and have extra time (and patience) to spare. ... show more
