The media could not be loaded. I have been looking for an outdoor large storage container until we got this one. One of the reasons I chose this one, honestly, is because I saw the price wasn't that crazy. Then, I assembled everything, which was bigger than I thought, and we can put a lot of stuff, I mean, a lot. In addition, It was made of waterproof plastic, and it was made so good—nothing like any plastic cheap thing. I didn't put it in the corner of my backyard. Because it looks like nice outdoor furniture to me, I can use it near my chairs and table as a second outdoor table.

It was very easy to put together but READ each step carefully. We missed a step. The metal support bars need to go in before putting on the final end side. We couldn't get to come apart. We cut about 2 1/2 inches off the metal bars and was able to get it to work. We cut two openings one on the front, one on the side. The cats love it. I love the hinged lid I can get in and clean it for the kitties with no issues.

On the bright side… it’s very nice looking, sturdy and weatherproof. All the predrilled holes match up nicely with the screws and hardware provided. However, assembling the sides to the bottom piece is not easy. I had to do some Mac Gyvering and weird contortions to make it all “snap” together. Had to use a rubber mallet to snap the pieces together. Also had to use channel locks to squeeze the hinges into its holes. I had to use a 2x4 under the box to level it out to install the hinges to the lid. Probably should be a 2 person job but with the tools mentioned above.

My wife, who has put together a bunch of furniture, says this was the toughest project ever. The directions are of little help and the task took too long with two people on the job. The item seems to be of decent quality material and I hope it keeps our cushions dry… but save the headache and look elsewhere.

Assembling this deck box isn't the easiest task, especially with the somewhat vague instructions. I mean, they consist solely of pictures without any accompanying text, which actually suits me perfectly since I'm a visual learner. If you carefully follow the diagrams, it sort of explains itself. While I do have some handy skills, they don't come in handy here because I tend to rely on improvisation and my gut feelings/common sense. It might get the job done, as it's not particularly difficult, but it's definitely not as optimized as following the instructions. This suggests that the manufacturer has put a lot of effort into the design. The materials used are of high quality, and the supports are cleverly designed, resulting in a sturdy construction once everything is put together. It offers ample space; even a 20lb propane tank looks tiny inside. Remarkably, after enduring two days of continuous rain, everything remains completely dry.
