I am really happy I ordered this cabinet. The right side stores all my paperwork… printer paper, address labels, business cards, etc. Left side is handy for filing, and top drawers for office needs. I didn’t use the roller wheels at the bottom, as the cabinet is on carpet. And I did replace the handles. I like handles that I can get my fingers into. It was a bit tricky and confusing putting it together, but between my husband and I, we did it! We are 66 and 73 so if WE can do it, anybody can! (Saw the reviews) Photo looks slanted. That is my camera, not the cabinet! The drawers slide nice. I only wish the pegs for the shelf fit tighter… plus an extra shelf would have been nice. But all in all, I am glad I bought this. At first, I had received a defective track for the filing cabinet then I messaged the seller. They then were quick to respond to me and let me know of the future steps. A few weeks later I then received my replacement track for the filing cabinet and got it looking like nothing was ever wrong. It is a very sturdy piece of furniture and great for organizing things if that's what you're looking for. I would highly recommend this piece of furniture to anyone....... THE 1ST TWO PICTURES ARE OF THE PIECE OF FURNITURE NOW after the seller took care of me AND THE THIRD ONE IS OF IT WITH THE DEFECTIVE TRACK RAILING when I first received the item..... This file cabinet came with some excellent packaging. Corners were well-protected and despite obvious wear and tear on the outer box there was not a scratch on the parts. Most of the hardware (handles, screws, etc.) came in separate resealable baggies, which was very convenient. The only time I had to pull out a knife was to open the outer box. The instructions were straightforward enough. Having to build multiple drawers, there was a lot to assemble. Total assembly time was about 4 hours for me, but I am slow at this sort of thing. The instructions recommend two people for assembly, but it was easy enough to handle alone. ... show more

It looks beautiful. The only thing I didn't like is the lock. Don't bother using the screws as they will chew up the wood. The first time I installed the lock I thought the screws were loose and then I closed the drawer and the lock few out of place so I ended up just glueing the lock in place and no one notices that the screws didn't work since I put glue in the holes where the screws go and on the lock. I applied wood clamps to hold the lock in place for 48 hrs to make sure the glue would take and not be loose. Now it looks perfect. ... show more

I was looking for a small shelving unit or a file, and luckily found this which is conveniently both. It took quite a while to put together, but the quality if better than a standard IKEA type piece. The drawers roll smooth and fit flush as well.

The size and design were just what I was looking for and was pleased to find it was well made, solid wood, good fit & finish. Great value for the price. As other reviewers have commented, assembly is a project in and of itself. I clocked it at over 4 hours effort, working by myself. But that is to be expected, given that this is some solid wood and there's a lot of features to be assembled. I got the gray oak color and I was happy to see that in person it has some brown tint that makes it a bit more alive, its not as drab gray as it looks in the online pictures. I wish they offered something in solid dark brown, like a mahogany or walnut tint. ... show more

It took me about 2.5 hours to assemble. It was worth it. Fits perfect where I wanted to put it and it looks real nice. I read all the reviews so I was kinda worried when I bought it but I think people have been assembling the bottom drawer wrong. It’s easy to get confused while doing it. I assembled it wrong and the Bottom drawer would stick out a bit and after carefully reading the instructions and realizing a couple of pieces where backwards I was able to get it to look like it’s supposed to. ... show more
