This cabinet is good for its price and has fair build quality although it is particle board pieces. Once properly built the aesthetics is not bad either. However, the instructions that came with it is the WORST. I put up most of the furniture in my apartment myself and I can honestly say this instruction booklet lacks clarity. In addition, some parts are *not aligned* with the holes that they've provided. After building the bottom drawer, I realized that the drawer was not going in all the way when pushed in; and I had to take it out, measure and drill in new holes for the piece E (E1 and E2, as you can see in the second image) to create the perfect fit. This is something an inexperienced person would find hard to do. Considering that this is a product which people would find hard to return once they start building it, the manufacturer should take some responsibility to update its building instruction set and make sure that the pieces align properly. ... show more

This turned out to be a nice cabinet... for the money. It is not heirloom quality and you shouldn't expect that. This cabinet is made of press board and you will be assembling the cabinet yourself. Assembly takes 1-2 hours with basic hand tools (included). I like that they include extra hardware (screws, dowels, etc) to ensure the buyer doesn't end up short. This little cabinet has everything I was looking for to go under my new desk. Assembly was no more difficult that with any other file cabinet I have put together in the past. There was a problem with one of the file drawer rails. I emailed the manufacturer and got a replacement part within a week. Put that on and everything beautifully. Okay I admit it, this thing was a bit of a beast to put together, there were a few things that weren't labeled clearly enough. For example the metal draw slides have their numbers and letters imprinted into the metal and then it is painted over so that can take a while for you to find out which piece is which. Not impossible though and they are marked once you figure that out. The instruction manual I'd say is a good 7/10, only slightly confusing on assembly overall. There are a few photos that are added of how not to do something and they aren't as clearly marked or referenced as such, I would have liked or thought a bigger picture of what to do right would be of better help. Beyond a few assembly hangups the unit itself is pretty darn sturdy once fully assembled the sides are strong and meet up well and the draw slides work perfect. There are a few just plain bad parts to this, the drawer bottoms are made of that thick cardboard instead of being any type of solid wood at all. Along with that yours will probably like mine already be pretty warped even upon opening the box and this will make inserting them in their tracks doubly difficult. Also you can forget about putting too much weight in any of the draws, without some type of re-enforcement done to them they are going to be pretty flimsy over all. Also the wheels on it are honestly pretty much useless, they don't so much roll as they do just slide across your floor, I'm not happy about this as mine is on a wood floor, but I honestly don't move it much if at all so this is not a deal breaker for me personally but if you want it to roll, well don't expect it to very well. For the price the cheap wheels don't surprise me, the cardboard drawer bottoms though actually upset me, I probably shouldn't have expected them to be better but I was initially disappointed with those particular components. Because I wanted something that was wood instead of metal and this one was sized perfect for where I needed it to fit under the table it works nicely for my uses. ... show more

I bought this when I moved into my first house, as ikea was pretty much void of cheap furniture during move in week in my college city. The pros: it’s pretty solid, compared to the cheap plywood from ikea. That’s pretty much it, as you get what you pay for. I bought it as it was the only thing between a night stand and a desk drawer that I could find on here, so I’m happy for what it is. Cons: the instructions were decently hard to follow. I’m no carpenter, but I hold myself to building an ikea desk in under an hour. For them, the lack of words somehow helps as it’s easy to follow for the simplest of minds. These ones, damn I had a headache multiple times as I feel like the instructions skip over a good amount of the small details. I was looking for the file cabinet track thing around my house for like 20 minutes until I realized that it’s detachable. No mention of it. Another con is that all of the screws are the ones that have hook binders. Compared to ikeas hybrid systems with the pegs as well, this makes it heavier. Not by a ton, but noticeable. Okay, the biggest thing that I hate about this thing is the way it’s packed. I’ve been cleaning styrofoam off of my floor for like 3 days now. I had to scrub white stuff off my clothes and the thing itself for like 10 minutes because the black wood was almost stained by it. 🤬 In my opinion, I think this is a good piece of furniture for anyone moving in for the cheap.
