If I could only give 1/10th of a star review! This is what DETROIT AXLE did!!! I purchased a full set of brake shoes and pads for my GMC truck. This was the exact fitment part for my truck. Unfortunately, DETROIT AXLE sent me a brake shoe that was assembled backward and could not be used on my truck. I was agitated because this is my work truck and I needed it right after the brake change. I immediately notified DETROIT AXLE of the problem. At this point, I was at someone else's garage doing this job and I could not leave my truck there disassembled. I had to modify this part to fit on my truck NOW!!! I then proceeded to modify the part because I could not leave my truck at that garage. The modification job required a grinder, drill press, tap and die set, a bolt and washer to reattach the part. I had to get a friend to help me go and get the parts to modify this DETROIT AXLE mistake. I was finally able to modify this piece and put my truck back together and leave this garage. This process added an extra 1.5 hours onto the back wheel brake job. A day or so passed. I finally got an answer from DETROIT AXLE to replace the part or discount my order a shameful amount. I was insulted about this discount so I contacted DETROIT AXLE to tell them the hardship they put me through to get my truck reassembled and asked for more money as a discount. They offered an extra few pennies-- insulting! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS DETROIT AXLE! Their customer service is a joke!!! If you read their reviews, they KNOW that they are sending out defective parts, but they will not fix this issue. ... show more
