I really purchased this because it's purple. I was a bit concerned it might be kind of cheap & flimsy, however, that is not the case! It is a nice sturdy calculator, color is great, large buttons, very easy to read & definitely worth my $10!!

Bought this for my elderly mother, because it has large display and big buttons. The calculator ADDS when it is supposed to SUBTRACT! Can’t send it back; she lives 1100 miles away and does not drive! Amazon requires it to be returned. What a rip-off. UPDATE: After I contacted Amazon, they sent an immediate replacement which was received by my mother the very next day. It's a cheap calculator and you get what you pay for. The buttons are loose, so if you're doing calculations with one hand whilst looking at a screen for data, it will almost always miss a number or decimal. It's just loose.     • Get's the job done but wobbles

One of the rubber pads underneath must not be exactly like the others or maybe the plastic is slightly warped or something but it wobbles when I hit any key near the bottom left. It's barely noticeable if I put the calculator on a pad of paper or a mouse pad, but if it sits right on my glass top desk, it's mildly infuriating. Other than that, it's a decent calculator and I have no other complaints. Nothing at all fancy about it. It does exactly what I expect it to do. All the buttons work. They are hard plastic so they have a good sound and feel when pressed. It seems sturdy enough. I saw a couple reviewers complain about how cheap it feels. I mean, how durable does this thing need to be? It'll hold up with regular usage on a desk. Probably not if you're throwing it around, though, so maybe just don't do that. ... show more

I have "owned" my math deficiency. I have a fairly significant L.D. which renders math virtually impossible. I carefully viewed a large assortment of calculators before making my choice. My criteria was simple: It had to be very easy to read - no glasses required. It had to be simple. (I'm not interested in the square root of anything.) This calculator met my requirements. It's large enough to find but not so big that it requires its own room.
