I got this deck holder to test & try. The unit is very light weight plastic. But, it is thick & and seemingly very strong. I use it to keep my water container off my desk & away from spilling on my elex. The hangers need to be assembled, each of 2 with tiny allen screws. But, the holder comes with a long, ball-end allen wrench which installs the 4 screws very easily. The hangers & the cup holder have non-slip material on them to both protect the surfaces of the controllers, etc., and keep everything from slipping off, especially in the cup holder, which has slots for handles to stick off to the side. And, the holder's controller hooks articular 360 degrees so the clamp on assembly holding it all together can be mounted about anywhere on a desk or flat surface edge. The clamp is a temporary hand knob, screw clamp with a protective surface that can be used anywhere without marring the desk surface and holds it strongly without the clamp falling off taking your drink, headphones & controllers with it. I highly recommend this Desk Holder system.

Overview - The item reviewed is an under desk edge clamp on cup holder with lower hanging supports for wireless game controllers and a headset which spins 360 degrees. Positives - The cup holder fits and supports most standard sized drink vessels firmly and has a foam insert that absorbs any condensation created. - The headrest and controller section rotates 360 degrees for easy storage and access. Negatives - I recommend using insulated drink vessels in the cup holder to limit the amount of any condensation that may occur. This reduces any clean up over time. - Care needs to be taken when deciding on placement of this item as the low hanging features can become a point of banging knees on the assembly. In Conclusion - I love this clamp on system. It is a space saving and very functional item with just the right amount of combining metal with highly durable plastic. If you need a place to support your beverage and controllers at a desk, I say grab one or more of these.

The cup holder is above your headphones, I kinda want to test a spill but Im not putting my headphones on the line. Honestly though I think a spill would fall away from items below. Assembly: Make sure you look at the instructions, my first cursory glance I just started to assemble and then noticed that the screws need to go in from a specific side. Honestly I dont always read instructions because sometimes it means I need to find my glasses first so I just wing it. Use: The cupholder up top is pretty sturdy and has a rubber base to prevent things from sliding but its not adjustable. I put a smaller cup in there and then noticed that if it did spill, it was going to spill right onto my headphones. Thats the opposite of what I'd want. The headphone hooks do allow for movement though so you could turn them, maybe getting them out of the line of fire, or maybe putting them into the line of fire. But if you wear headphones most of the time, then its a non issue.

So far I don't see really any flaws with this product. The cupholder is a bit deeper than a previous one I'd used, with slots for mug handles. The controller and headphone holders are adequate (the controller ones are a bit close together and won't work with any adapters on the bottom side of the controller (underside of bottom, like keyboards, headphone adapters etc) But if you're using standard Xbox or PlayStation (current gen) controllers at least they hold very well. I love the swivel design for the hooks to accommodate whatever angle you need as well as rotating to put on devices and then hide them as needed. Finally, the whole device clamps very well to a flat desk/table and stays holding very well. So far no durability issues and I don't see any forthcoming. Well worth the purchase!
