Installing this fixture is a bit of a pain, since the the screws to fix the base to the ceiling box easily pass through the plastic holes and get lost in the insulation. If you accidentally over tighten a screw the plastic easily deforms. The easy fix is to get a couple of washers and put them between the screw and plastic base. With this trick, installation is a breeze. Overall, it's a very nice fixture for the price, especially the frosted glass cover (since I was expecting plastic). I wanted to install a fixture where I could use LED bulbs and change them as needed. I considered getting an LED fixture, but did not want the hassle of changing the whole fixture when the LEDs stopped working. ... show more

I came home looked in Amazon and found just what I was looking for. Each one was about $20 less than what I was looking at other stores. I guess over the years this is at least the 12 ceiling light I have purchased of this exact model on Amazon. Even purchased a few different diamters. Why I like it so much: 1. Price - value. Really hard to beat at this price point for what you're getting. 2. The lamp cover is actually a really nice smokey glass. 3. Brightness, it will hold up to 2 light regular light bulbs. I find one bulb to be just be fine. I use LED bulbs. 4. Ease of installation. It comes with all the hardware needed. Depending on how you install it you might not require using some installatiion parts. Disclaimer, like all overhead ceiliing light installations, you need to take your time understanding it does require some patience. Now this is just my humble opinion, but I do hope it helps others in making an informed decision... ... show more

First time putting g up a ceiling light, it was tricky (didn't have a ladder, stood on a chair) but worth it! It is very bright even with just 1 60w bulb in there, and looks classy. Seems sturdy enough. The fiberglass backing gave me a little trouble when actually latching it in place but I threaded a screwdriver through first to use as a guide to one of the screws and that helped sooo much!
