Rated 4 for assembly as we thought four pieces were missing - instruction diagrams did not include that those four leg pieces were already screwed together, and need to be unscrewed first. We purchased two of these stools to use with chairs in our study. The height of the stools is ideal for use with most chairs: too high or too low and you will find that you can only use a stool for a few minutes. You have to assemble the legs and cross bracing on these and that took only a few minutes to complete. The fabric cover on the stool is attractive and durable, and the wood finish is also pretty good. The stools are lightweight and easy to move, yet remain in place and steady during use. This stool goes perfect with my vintage vanity. It’s sturdy and comfortable to sit on. It was very confusing to assemble; I couldn’t find the instructions until I dissembled the box. Thankfully from other reviews I figured out that the bottom part of the legs unscrew, put the cross bar on, and screw the bottom part of the legs back on. I got this for a great open box deal, I’m assuming that the last person couldn’t figure out assembly! So happy with my vanity stool! ... show more

The leg was broken on the first stool I received, but it was replaced immediately. Easy to assemble, and the perfect height and color to go with my cherry vanity. The cushion cover is pretty classy too, and blends well with almost any decor! In addition to the four missing leg pieces, the fabric was plain tan/gold. It was not anything like the subtle checked fabric that was pictures. I returned it immediately!

This stool is just perfect. I bought it to go with an antique vanity that I recently purchased and it looks beautiful with it. It also looks fairly authentically vintage (if you don't look too close). My vanity is quite low, so the shortness of the stool is ideal; I think it may be even slightly shorter than advertised, which is a plus for me. We have had this stool for over a year, and it is just as sturdy as it was from Day 1. Elegantly designed and sturdily built.This is primarily used as a stool for my wife's vanity.At times, it is used by others in the family, so I can attest to it being sturdy. Although probably not needed,we laid a sturdy piece of acrylic under it to not harm the wood floors. The customer service is also great. My initial order had a problem where a leg would not screw into the base. No problem......sent it right back and received a new one.
