This is definitely the most solid extending microphone arm I've ever had. I've had four. It locks into place nicely on to the desk. It's very easy to lock it into position. Very good design with large textured screws that you can turn with your hand. It's very sturdy and the microphone doesn't wobble. Definitely worth it to spend a little more on this and get a really good one. It has a slot that runs down the back that holds the cable in real nicely. When you're done it folds up really compact. Definitely recommend this one

If you record, stream, or podcast with any consistency, a good boom arm isn't just aesthetic ("look at me, I'm a legit content creator!"). There are real, practical reasons to use one, including: ● Decoupling your mic from the desk surface means typing vibrations and random table bumps stop sneaking into your audio. ● Getting the mic properly positioned lets you take advantage of the proximity effect - that richer, fuller bass response directional mics produce when they're close to your mouth - while keeping your gain settings lower, which dramatically cuts background noise pickup. ● It clears the mic off your desk surface entirely, so you're not craning your neck forward to reach a stand. Ergonomics win and audio quality win, all in one bracket. This arm deserves to be in its own height and weight class. At a list price of almost a C-note, it ought to perform, and as a whole it really does. This arm handles the heavy stuff - up to 6.6 lbs - which covers serious mics like the brands they mention, and other chonky studio mics that flimsy arms simply can't manage. This tall boy (950mm/~37") easily clears large monitors and ultrawides, which is a huge advantage for my setup. I was slightly concerned because desk clamps have historically been hit or miss for me, but this one fit easily, tightened down solid without any tools, has rubber pads to protect your desk surface, and hasn't budged. The built-in cable channels with six snap-in clips are a nice touch too - wires stay managed instead of becoming their own chaos subplot. The main tradeoff worth knowing: this is a "set it and leave it" arm more than a "swivel it around mid-sentence" one. The gear-lock system adjusts in 15-degree increments and holds firmly - no sag, no drift, no spring that slowly gives up on life. But repositioning takes a little intention, not just casually yanking it around. If you're constantly moving your mic mid-stream, it might feel rigid. If you dial in your position once and just... use it? It's excellent. Also worth noting: this takes a standard 5/8" threaded mic mount, so your Bluetooth karaoke mic isn't sliding in here like your ex in your DMs. It's designed for traditional studio mics that screw in via a standard adapter. 𝗧𝗟𝗗𝗥: A heavy-duty, no-sag boom arm that earns its keep for serious mics and bigger desk setups - just know it rewards intentional positioning over constant on-the-fly adjustments.
