I live in a townhouse-like loft and my back bedroom faces the breezeway between my row of units and the one across. It's a narrow breezeway and it's accessible by my backdoor and the units across use it to get to their front doors. I have a bedroom with windows that look out onto the breezeway. They're big windows that start about a foot from the ground up to the ceiling, in a bank of 3 double hung. If you open or pull the blinds up then anytime can see in. That room is occupied by my adult son and because he never wanted to open the blinds he wasn't getting much natural light and the room was like a cave. We put this film on the bottom pane. My windows are 31.5" wide so we cut down the size that just a bit wider. It was easy to install. Bubbles did pop up in it a day later but weren't there at first. I'm guessing that's on us, though. We'll figure that out. They're not visible from the outside but they'll bother me so I won't leave them. This film a great option for privacy while letting in light. You can barely make out even any movement on either side at any time of day. And since the bottom pane is pretty much right at most people's head height we can open the blinds all the way so we can get in light from both panes and pretty much the only thing visible from the breezeway is the ceiling of the room. We have plantation shutters for all of our windows so I wanted something that somewhat matched them and this really does look like real blinds. Our sidelight has lightly textured glass and I know clings are recommended for flat glass only, but I thought I would at least try this to see if it would work. After I liberally sprayed the window with water, I had no problem getting the film to stick. Once it was in place, I trimmed it to size using an exacto knife and then placed very small pieces of invisible tape in the corners just to be sure it stays. Included with the film was a hard plastic piece to use to get the bubbles out. I still need to go over it again but I wanted to jump on here to leave my review and share a picture. I am impressed that these truly do look like blinds. With the lightly textured glass, the film has given us the right amount of privacy along with blocking out our HOT Florida sun and heat! PS What’s awesome IMO about this is, if you don’t like how it looks, it’s easily taken down and easily reapplied. You just can’t go wrong! ... show more

We had to cut it to size which we expected. Cannot see through it at all, if my cat comes up to it we can see his shadow outside. It looks so good that our friends thought either we got those fancy in-the-glass shades or got new French doors.

This is just what it says it is, easy to install, just have to be sure to get the air bubbles out. Could have come with a better tool to help with that, but I’m very satisfied with the product. I put it in my bathroom window and I was afraid it would come off. It’s been on the window for about a month and the shower is used several times daily and it has not moved or come off the window. We purchased this to cover a large glass door after removing a curtain. We did not wish to block out all the light. This product was not a perfect fit for our door, and some cutting was required. I did attempt to make the cut for a horizontal orientation, but it failed badly because I did not have the require tools to cut it precisely. Application was fairly easy at first, but difficult to remove all the bubbles, taking more than 15 minutes just trying to squeeze everything out without achieving absolute perfection. ... show more

This was so much easier to install than other film I have used. It's heavier. Be advised the stripes run vertically on the roll. I just applied mine that way. Looks very chic....at least to me. But more like vertical blinds than mini blinds.

My cats are window perchers, but 1 cat in particular can utterly destroy a miniblind in under 5 minutes. Possible solutions I found online suggested wood or faux wood blinds. BOTH of which can be expensive. I stumbled upon the white miniblind pattern when purchasing privacy film for our bathroom window. Some reviews provided photos, and it truly did appear as miniblinds when applied to windows so I took a chance this may solve my problem with miniblind destruction. It absolutely looks like miniblinds from inside AND out. The temperature of my kitchen also came down several degrees without the sun beating through the window. This product could NOT be easier to apply. A rotary cutter ensures clean edges. Tips from other users solved removal of the clear film backing (blue painters tape did the job). Spray water and apply. If there's too many bubbles, peel it off and start again. It's mistake proof as opposed to something like contact paper with adhesive. Anyone claiming they don't stick, has either NOT removed the clear film, is applying the wrong side or hasn't used enough water. Our window has to be repaired. So I will be able to remove the privacy film and reapply once it's done. Nothing wasted. Onto the blackout miniblind pattern to see if I can get as good of a result in our master bedroom windows. My husband is really impressed and thats not an easy achievement. It's just THAT simple. It takes longer to gather tools, measure and cut them than to apply. Again, the rotary cutter, worked much better than a utility knife or scissors. Easily cut through the film leaving straight, clean cuts. ... show more

Used for sliding door it provide enough privacy. You can see out but they can’t see in because of the double window glass glare it’s not easy for people to see in. It was very easy to put up. I suggest cutting exact measurements because its to thick for box cutter. It was easy to remove the air bubbles too. Brings in a lot of sunlight. ... show more
