Very, very well made !! They are so sturdy, don’t feel even remotely cheap. I love how they feel in my hand too, because as a professional artist who sells my work, I make a lot of work! And these won’t get in your way !!! I love how they don’t leak all weird like most water brushes do, they have the perfect flow of water!! This brush pen seems to be well made and performs as advertised. Superb water control compared to most other brands. However, It's too thick for my travel case. I have arthritis in my thumb joints and the push button that releases the water is too stiff for me to use for a full painting session. I will stick with my current brand which has nearly as good water control and a bit easier on the pocket book. ... show more

They have great water control, but highly over priced. They do feel more durable than other brands over tried but there is no reason why these plastic tubes with synthetic bristles should cost this much.

the water brushes hold a nice amount of water in that the barrels are hefty. Once one gets the knack of the buttons used to release water to the tip, it is actually a nice way to control the water flow. My only real negative is that I CAN'T get the brush tip covers to fit securely only the opposite end during use. This really throws the balance off . I contacted Derwent with this issue and only got a response "the caps fit on the opposite end". and a "do not reply to this email" message. So, if anyone else can get the caps to stay on the back end please share the secret! LOL. ... show more

I have used a few other brands of water brushes, and I saw the Derwent ones used by a colorist. There is better control of the water and I love the different sizes. The caps will not stay on the end of 3 out of 4 brushes for some reason, but no worries, I stuck a piece of drafting tape around the end and now the caps fit. I like the push button that releases the water and the bristles. To me they are worth the extra money for controlling the water better than Pentel, which use to be my favorite. ... show more

    • This could be only one brush that is defective but the new one does dribble water when in use.

I bought this brush to replace another that when I attempted to fill it it came apart the wrong way. Since I have been using it, it dribbles water all the time. Not what it is supposed to do.
