    • One good, one defective
UPDATE AGAIN: If they don't switch back to the push button style applicator, I will have to stop buying. The twist applicator is russian roulette; most twists nothing happens, sometimes 5 twists in a tiny dollop will ooze out, and sometimes 3 twists later, more than I need for my whole face comes out. As noted in my original review, this has been a consistent issue with that applicator. It is a total waste to buy such a pricey product in such small volume only to have no control at all over application. UPDATE (2022): I'm still using Dermstick. A while back they changed the applicator to a far superior push button design. It was much easier to control the amount of product used in an area and it didn't take ages to prime. My latest order, it seems they've switched back to the old applicator design--now with 28.5% less product! I get to pay the exact same price for 0.15 oz as I paid for 0.21 oz. What a racket. ‐--- First off, I like this product. I feel it does help reduce the appearance of my pores, and it helps my skin stay clearer in general. When I have breakouts, this helps them to heal more quickly than without. If I apply a lot of the product to a sensitive area, it will sting and turn red, but the reaction never lasts longer than a couple of minutes, and it's not painful. I have ordered two of these so far. My first Dermstick lasted me 3 months. My second Dermstick has not quite lasted me a month and a half. As the instructions state, it took about 10 twists to prime my first Dermstick, and then it was fit for use for as long as there was product in the tube. I used about 2 twists per treatment area because I had pesky blackheads and clogged pores covering fairly large portions of my face. I felt like 3 months was a good amout of time to be able to use the product, and I was happy with my purchase. My second Dermstick took at least 30 twists to prime, and I had to do at least 10 more every time I used it for the first few days. Now, it takes at least 3 twists to get any product out at all, and then the amount that is distributed is inconsistent. Sometimes 3 twists will get me 3 twists worth of product, and somtimes it will barely squeeze out any. I've tried all sorts of things to troubleshoot, but I've come to the conclusion that this Dermstick is defective. I think I'll order one more to see if what I received this last time was a one-off, or if the pen is often defective. If I receive another one that does not work as the instructions claim it should, I'll have to switch to something else. This is too expensive to have ones that only work for half as long as they ought to. ... show more

    • Worth the money, it works!
This actually works! I have only been using this for a couple of weeks, but I noticed a difference right away. My pores vary from moderately large to giant and many products do not work on my 45 year old face. The pores are much smaller to non-existent and the area has a smoother complexion. I am so pleased I am going to try some other products from this company. ... show more

This might be a decent product, but the miniscule quantity of material contained in this stick is so small that it is not enough to make a determination of whether or not this works. Maybe if you have 1 or 2 enlarged pores this will work for you (Who has that few?), but if you have 1 inch or more of enlarged pores then you will not have enough product to make enough applications to achieve any improvements. For me, even being very skimpy with the product, I ran out in less than a week. Consequently, this was a complete waste of money for me. I wish I had requested my money back at that time. If the maker greatly increased the quantity (without a price change) maybe this item will achieve its purpose, but as it is I definitely would not recommend it. ... show more

After BeautyRx mentioned that this and the exfoliating pads worked great together, I bought both. Why not? And they were definitely right. They are a bit strong, so I would use caution using them simultaneously. But they both are amazing products! I have extremely dry skin...lizard dry skin. However, my nose will get a bit oily and the Dermstick took that unnecessary shine away. This plus the pads definitely did make my pores smaller though! Who doesn't want small pores? I did...and it worked! ... show more

    • Beauty is pain (LITERALLY)
I bought this for my pores, it seemed promising. I put this on my face and my face felt like it was in fire!. I’m still using it, I’m giving it 4 weeks hoping for results, beauty is pain. My skin isn’t usually sensitive so not sure why it burns.

It really works. Been using for a few weeks. I don't have huge pores everywhere and the smaller ones are not getting any smaller. But I do have a couple troubled pores that were around 1-1.5 mm across that really bothered me around my ear area and they are half the size now. So it won't shrink small but visible pores but it's magic for stretched out big pores. ... show more
