The old one maybe had 20% the brightness of the new one after years of fading and sun damage to the plastic. Recommend everyone change them if your headlights are more than 7 years old. ... show more

It is impossible to adjust the headlight, the adjustmet screw is a phillips head screw and is located 1/2" from the car's metal frame. The existing driverside headlight assembly provides a hex screew where can fit a wrench to turn the adjustement screw. No tool was provided to fit within the limited space. This is new in the box and works well. It fits my 2007 Toyota Highlander, even if it is not a perfect fit. Certainly cost a LOT less than going through the dealership would have ($250 quote). Does NOT come with a new bulb, but those are affordable and I had a spare. Thank you!

Replacing the scuffed and yellowed headlights on my 2007 Highlander has dramatically improved nighttime safety, but getting there has been a struggle. This replacement headlight unit appears to be slightly off dimension, meaning I could get the outboard peg to line up in its hole, but the mounting screw tabs wouldn't line up. Likewise, with the screw tabs aligned, the peg on the outboard side wouldn't go into its hole, where it should just snap in. (See the red circled areas in the photos for clarification.) I finally gave up, and wired the outboard side in place with baling wire! When I measured the distance from the center screw tab to the outboard mounting peg, I found this replacement to be about 1/4" shorter in length than the OEM headlight. I am puzzled by other reviewers claiming that it's "easy to install". ... show more
