I took a change on this because iPhone 😫 kept annoying me saying it was full. I purchased this little item when it was on sale for about thirty dollars. Downloaded the app and off I went. Transferred over 500 pictures and videos plus some documents and only used about two gigs. Amazing! How is that it used so much storage on my phone? Anyway, the iXpand flash drive folds over on itself so it helps keep it safe. I keep it in my purse because I lose everything. I would much rather use this to transfer my photos for a backup and later back up to my computer for a second backup. Also you can transfer documents and it says you use fbd iXpand to back up your phone although I have yet to try it. I was just amazed that all my pictures transferred so easily. You can also delete the pics off the iXpand using your phone if you decide you don’t want to keep them. I would recommend this product for someone with little knowledge of these kinds of products because it was fairly easy to use. I have never used one before and was able to easily figure it out.

I've had this drive for a few weeks now. I'd have to say that it is definitely saving me space on my phone but there are some draw backs that I will go into later in the review. Good things: They seem to be updating the app on a regular basis so everything is working like it should. It frees up space on your iPhone!!!! It's automated - Basically you plug this guy in and it goes to town taking you to the app store and asking you to download the app. After this, it backs up your phone. It also has suggestions on how to save additional space. It asks you if you want to delete files it has copied to the drive. Things I don't like. It took forever for me to get this to work right. I spent hours and multiple recharges to get all the items backed up because I wasn't sure of what I was doing and i wasn't sure it was backing the items up. It asked to back items on the cloud and I said yes. It failed every time because they are on the cloud. How was I supposed to know this. I had to force close the app several times. The number of photos it backed up didn't appear to match the number of photos on my phone. (this may have been an icloud thing) Needless to say, it finally worked. I was ready to send it back. I back up every file on this drive to my computer and backup hard drive as well. This is an item that has no way of being kept safe unless you always back up your phone and then put it in a lock box or something. there is no key chain or attachment of any kind to keep this from just falling out of your pocket when you reach in for your key or some other object you've shoved in there. It's easy to lose and it contains your life if you haven't backed it up somewhere else and the photos have been deleted from your phone. there needs to be a way to attach this to another item like your keys and maybe a cover for the drive attachment to keep them protected. I'm happy I have it but I'm worried it will go missing soon.

This is a wonderful tool for use with Apple IOS devices, e.g., iPad, iPhone, iPod. I'm not a fan of iTunes, and find having to use it to transfer, catalog, or save photos, videos, etc. very cumbersome--and forget even being able to easily save other file types. With this very handy flash drive, you can transfer/save/view your photos, videos, and even Word/Pages/Excel/Numbers/PDF files directly from the device. Want to transfer these files from your device to your computer and vice versa? No problem. Want to view them without downloading to your device? No problem. Interface is intuitive and easy to use. Of course it depends on your needs, but I found the 126G to be the best buy. Quickly download the app from the Apple app store, and you're ready to go.

Bought this to use for watching videos on my iPad. Works great although from time to time it seems to freeze if you try to fast forward through a movie. I end up rebooting my iPad and that fixes it. Could be my iPad since it is several years old. Overall I'm very pleased with it. Automatically starts up when I sign in on the iPad and the software is easy to use. Had a cheap import that after about year, it's software said I was using an illegal device - go figure. The only other thing I notice is that the metal part gets hot when I remove it from USB hub after copying files and I'm not sure if it's the hub or the stick that causes the heat.

I have to admit that I was turned off by the shape of this thing but once I got past that, it did what it was supposed to do and did it well. I wanted a fast, one piece way to transfer files to my iStuff and this does it. I've used the Lightning camera adapter and found that some thumb drives are just horrible when it comes to speed. I bit the bullet and bought this and it was worth it. Any more I generally don't buy memory that is not one of the big reliable names like SandDisk, Samsung, Kingston and a few others. There is a lot of bad memory out there so it's worth it to get the good stuff. And really, it's not that expensive. This is a funny looking little device that seems to work well. Nice job SanDisk.
