When I received the package, the box was a little beat up but no noticeable damage to the radiator. It was once I was about to put it in, I saw that the whole thing was tweaked. I also noticed that the transmission cooler line fittings were bent slightly downwards. Installed the radiator and haven’t had any issues with it so far. I ordered this for my son's 2004 Toyota Tundra Access Cab 4WD. When I searched on Amazon this showed up as a match. Long story short, this radiator fits a Sequoia or Double Cab Tundra is an inch taller than the one that you need for an Access or Regular Cab. The DENSO part for that radiator is 221-0517. Never trust the Amazon fitment guide. It does not allow you to select if your Tundra is a Double, Access or Regular Cab. The radiator was well packaged and arrived undamaged, unlike some of the other reviews. Just wish I had known the correct part number to order. Now even if I decide to return this radiator and purchase the correct one, it won't arrive for a week. ... show more

Radiator itself looks to be as solidly built as the original. Made in Taiwan instead of Japan, but Taiwan is generally solid these days. We'll see if Denso lives up to their usual reliability standards. Packaging seemed better than a lot of the other reviews -- there was high-density foam over the radiator neck area and the transmission cooler nipples. My unit, at least, was undamaged. I didn't like the mounting brackets that came with the unit -- they seemed to be kind of generic and flimsier than the originals. It was a simple 10 minute job to swap over the mounting brackets from the old radiator (2 bolts per bracket, so 4 in total). Since I would have had to swap over the upper fan shroud if I'd gone with the new brackets (swapping over the original brackets, I just left the fan shroud attached to those brackets), it was probably a wash in terms of time. Remounting in my 2002 Sequoia was a piece of cake, and my overheating issue has gone away. ... show more

The radiator looks like a great replacement for the Sequoia, but the significant lack of protection to the radiator for shipping has resulted in damage to both of the transmission cooling fittings. Until the packaging process changes, I would count on delaying the installation of your radiator by a week. This would assume similar damage, contacting Denso, and receiving replacement parts, as this seems to be a frequent issue. Three stars for now, but will update accordingly after seeing how Denso addresses the issue. ... show more

I bought this to replace the leaking radiator in my 2001 Toyota Sequoia. It was a perfect fit. Every port, fitting, and mounting bracket was an exact match to the original 21 year old radiator that came out of the SUV. The packaging was good enough to keep the radiator from damage in shipping. I was missing one of the threaded clips for the fan shroud mounting bolts, but it ended up not being a problem for me because one of the fan shroud mounting bolts had lost its head sometime over the last two decades and I couldn't fasten the shroud at that location anyway. The actual removal of the old radiator and reinstallation of the new radiator was a breeze. The hardest part was taking out the two lower radiator mounting bolts. Other than that, it was an easy-peasy afternoon job that immediately fixed my coolant loss issue. If anything changes with the performance of this new radiator, I will update my review. ... show more
