  • Great sound over Air Play. A steal at $199. Easy set up. Quick and competent support
Color: Black Size: 150 Style: Home 150
Anybody who is still trying to use Bluetooth to stream music will be amazed at the ease of setting up (a very few minutes) and continuous play of high. quality sound Sonos also has great Air Play speakers - I own three - but Denon air play speakers are also great. No interruptions - ever. No failure to connect - ever. I use them with iTunes on a PC, which I have used for 20 years x I downloaded it the first day that Apple launched it I used the iTunes Store, CDs and hundreds of LPs to create many playlists of songs that I love. I don’t like leering someone else pick the songs for my playlists I also get free (and legal) access to thousands of online radio stations and services - 244 classical station included. The Denon 150 feels solid and plays with a solid sound. I also use it in the carport and it’s sound spreads to all corners of the pool and backyard Get one. You can, but won’t, return it ... show more

  • Impactful bass with no strings attached
Color: Black Size: 550 Style: Denon Home Subwoofer
I recently purchased the HEOS 150 and 250 for various rooms in my home and I had my eye on the Subwoofer to add to the collection. However I had some sticker shock when I saw the price. So I searched for a slightly used one in "acceptable" condition and it was much better than I could have hoped for. I have paired it with the 250 in my kitchen and the bass rattles the windows at certain volumes. Works perfectly with the HEOS app and Apple Air Play 2. After some tuning, I am VERY happy with my purchase and fully agree that this sub performs just as good if not better than a comparable wired Subwoofer. Glad to have found this at a discount but would very much consider paying original price for it. Thanks Denon for making another fine product to compliment the other speakers in the HEOS lineup! ... show more

  • Surprisingly unimpressive
Color: Black Size: 550 soundbar Style: Sound Bar
A small compact solution with little technical documentation and even worse setup user experience. I generally enjoy Denon products being a massive fan of the AVR lineup of premium home theater receivers. I thought when I needed a better solution for my wall mounted 4K TV in the master bedroom this would be a knockout choice. Pricey, sure, but Denon! First off the bar is very small, and normally that would be a good thing but the soundstage for general TV use is very narrow. Dialog still becomes muffled even with the Dialog Enhancer enabled. Bass is present however, the most noticeable upgrade from my premium Samsung built in speakers. Trying to set this up with that Samsung involved utilizing the HDMI 4 ARC-equipped TV port. At first I could get no sound from it. Most documentation is lacking many technical details, but for me ensuring HDMI-CEC (What Samsung called “Anynet+”) was done in advance. I chose to use Ethernet for networking which most documentation lacks to explain the setup process for. Ultimately through great frustration I came to realize that the bar they shipped me in July 2022 was EXTREMELY out of date with its firmware. Firmware is updated via the HeOS mobile application. Thankfully you do NOT need to set up some stupid account to use the app to set up or configure the bar—points added for straightforward requirements. The firmware takes a… very… long… time… to… update. I counted 25 minutes. After a while the app lost contact with the bar and assumed it was set up. It wasn’t. While the light flashes orange/yellow the firmware is still being updated DO NOT UNPLUG IT. Ignore the app. Wait for the bar to show blue. Just…wait. Once all the firmware updates are applied run through the device setup process again and you should be in business. The volume had to be clicked up about 15 times to finally hear something. Once you’ve hit this point congrats! You’ve done what Denon couldn’t bother to explain clearly. Now I’ll post my criticisms…. Some of these may be due to the TV behavior, so take with a grain of salt… but every time the bar turns on, my TV flips to the input that ARC is active on which obviously doesn’t show any content, as it’s been dedicated to sending audio data to the sound bar. Annoyingly I think this is my reward for spending $2500 on a premium Samsung TV. As is the annoyance of having no idea what the volume level is set to on the bar; pressing up or down volume shows a brief Vol + or Vol - and that’s it. If I connect Bluetooth headphones to the TV at night the TV will shut off the bar connection and blast the TV speakers if the TV volume was left up. Most of these gripes are due to poor TV user experience and likely not the sound bar. The sound bar itself seems to be fairly good but not the massive improvement I was hoping for over the built in speakers. For $600 MSRP I would have expected a much better audio experience from a company like Denon. I don’t know if I should blame it on HeOS, but it’s just underwhelming. Mounting the bar is a bit silly as well. Instead of a nice bracket to mount to you’re given picture-hanging holes. What absolute cheap out on such a premium product. It makes mounting the bar unnecessarily clonky and in most cases will cause it to sag towards the floor. A shelf is a better option if it fits with your decor. A TV wall mount with universal sound bar mounting is even better. Overall I give this product a “meh” out of 10. Not worth the price. If it was $199 I would have felt better. ... show more

  • Impressive bass for it's size
Color: Black Size: 150 Style: Home 150
Really loving this tiny speaker. It can get pretty loud with decent bass which is impressive considering it's size. It's a bit pricey but I guess you get what you are paying for. Plan on getting another one for a stereo pair.

  • great speaker
Color: Black Size: 150 Style: Home 150
I bought a " used" one from amazon warehouse and saved $100. I mainly wanted it for airplay and it works as advertised. I did seem a little slow until I did the update and now works perfect. FYI Its an open box but looks brand new so happy

I love this thing. I had a cheap radio I used for working in my garage..I recently bought a new surround sound receiver from Denon and read about there line of smart speakers and decided to get the 250. The sound is amazing! It's easy to pair. I use it with my phone or streaming from a music channel. Its pricey but I love it! ... show more

Excellent sound quality and very easy to connect to any kind of blue tooth supporting device. Can stream from my macbook while controlling EQ from my android phone at the same time. • Awesome speakers for the price/size but no TV???
Color: Black Size: 150 Style: Home 150
I love these speakers, the sound fidelity is awesome. I have them hooked up as a stereo pair. As to my complaint, I'll admit I didn't do the research I should have. I just assumed these would easily hook up to a smart TV. I mean, this is Denon, this is 2023, and why would I buy speakers like this if I had to buy others for TV (again, my bad)? I saw in the questions here that a Denon rep actually states that they don't recommend these speakers for TV due to the latency. So then why not add HDMI inputs for sound? Oh well, I'm keeping them. I have a Denon receiver in my basement and of course that can handle TV. So I dinged a star for that, but if you are buying these as just plain old speakers I think you'll be pleased. ... show more
