My almost six year old has been playing with magnetic building tiles at her after-school program, and she loves them, making all kinds of great building projects. When I saw this Happy Little Wonders Store Deluxe Magnetic Tiles Set, it caught my eye because it included wheeled vehicles that work with the magnetic building tiles, it's brilliant! Now my daughter can make castles, forts, and anything her imagination can conjure up. The Happy Little Wonders Store Deluxe Magnetic Tiles Set includes 98 assorted shapes and colors, 2 cars, and an idea book. The idea book is great, because when introducing new shapes and styles to the magnetic tile sets, it helps them visualize how to use them. Overall we're really happy with this set, the tiles have strong enough magnets that the tiles don't easily break apart (issues we've had with some of these magnetic tile building sets), you get a wide variety of shapes AND you get TWO vehicles!

My goddaughter LOVES magnetic tiles. I bought her a few sets from another brand last year, so I was excited to get the chance to review these with her. Long story short, we are both very happy with this set! These tiles are similar in quality to the ones I've seen before. They're solid, with medium-strength magnets. They should last through quite a bit of abuse, even when given to a not-so-discerning child. Most importantly, the dimensions and placement of the magnets are EXACTLY the same as the others I've used. If this is not the child's first set they can be confidently purchased as an add-on and mixed in with any existing tiles. Even the train-cars were compatible with the ones from her other set. The mix of colors and shapes is perfect. There was even one shape that she was extremely excited to get. One that none of her other sets had: the orange-red piece that looks like a Roman numeral II (being used as the roof of a train-car in my photo). I would highly recommend this to someone as a good basic starter set, or as an addition to any sets a child might already have.

These magnetic tiles are super colorful and surprisingly fun to play with, even as an adult. Like, we bought these for the kids, but I want them for myself now. Is that weird? Ha ha Great for building things like you do with Legos, but different because these connect with embedded magnets on the sides, most pieces are tiles (rather than blocks), and many are triangular shaped. In just a couple moments after opening the box, I quickly and easily assembled what looks like an odd little car. You can make some pretty cool geometric shapes by connecting enough of these together. And the set comes with some little car-like wheeled bases so you can attach these and make vehicles, carts, buggies, etc. If I had had these when I was a kid, I would have definitely gotten hours of play time out of them, especially since it comes with so many pieces. I’m sure I would have tried sticking them on household objects, too, like the side of the kitchen stove, the fridge, or my parents’ cars. All of which would have been fun to me. These don’t seem like they will scratch things up, so I think that would not be an issue. And they feel very durable so should last awhile. So much better for a kid than endlessly vegging out in front of an iPad. Would make a nice addition to your child’s toybox or to give as a gift to a child. Highly recommended for your little builders!

My son makes so many different things. He really enjoys playing with these. Comes with to car like shapes, plenty of triangles. Squares, etc. so many different ones and a full box. Comes with different colors.

My kid loves magnetic tiles and anything magnetic. It’s magic to her. She loves to build and play with these tiles. I’ve mixed in a smaller set of slightly different sized tiles to this set so that it makes building a little more challenge in order to stimulate her problem solving abilities and she loves working around pieces that don’t quite fit perfectly once she figures it out. Great STEM toy for toddlers.

I was really impressed with this set! The magnets are very strong, so my nephew has no problem whatsoever flexing his engineering muscles and building all kinds of structures. There’s a good variety of shapes and sizes, and it works with other sets he has of similar magnetic building toys. He was so excited to finally have a set to use when he’s at my house, and spent hours making all kinds of buildings and imagining different machines! I love how engaging and fun this toy is while also being simple, quiet, and not a screen in sight! If you’ve got a future engineer at home, this set is absolutely a great choice!

While I like the concept of this toy, I feel like it just misses it's intended mark. To be sure, you get a lot of sturdy, colorful pieces with a wide variety of shapes, plus two pieces with wheels that you can make a train or car, etc. with. I found though, that the magnets didn't line up well when trying to make a base for whatever you are building so that whatever your creation, it most of the time seemed uneven, making it hard and lopsided to continue to build upon. It also had a nasty habit of collapsing every time you tried to move your project. And though the little and I did it together most of the time, on his own, he just wound up piling one piece on top of the other. He's very young yet, but also very smart. I felt like this was more of a frustration to him though he really wanted to make it do what it was supposed to and not just put one piece on top of the other. With a little tweaking, this has the potential of being a really great toy.
