This saw is high quality and versatile, I wanted a portable saw the could accommodate a dado stack , I also wanted to be able to upgrade the miter gauge. The delta provides that, and the last contractor saw I was unable to fine tune the rip fence so it was parallel to the blade this saw does that also, overall I’m happy with the purchase withe the upgrade of the miter gauge it is extremely accurate. My son has a Delta table saw I’ve enjoyed using. Researched all available portables (my garage work area is really small) but liked the Delta features and price which for me made it best value for my needs. I’ve used it now on several projects, one required a variety of pieces and many of same shape very easy to setup and get a repeatable result. Had to adlib a dado across 56 pieces without a dado blade. Took 5 passes to get 1/2” width but precision was really good. Couldn’t be happier. ... show more

Nowadays.... it can take many weeks or even in some instances, months to get a "pro" to show up and take care of your home improvement projects. This Delta table saw is ideal for the occasional "do it yourselfer"/weekend warrior. ...so with that, I decided that I would jus go ahead and buy. I needed a table saw to make multiple "rip" cuts when I decided to install my own wood flooring... and now that I have a table saw, I am finding other useful applications for other things that need to be taken care of around the house.     • Good for the price but...

I was very happy to get a rack and pinion fence for the price point and the saw has a high cutting capacity. However I started finding out couple of issues with the saw as I used it. First of all the table top is not flat. It is cupped in towards the blade. If you are cutting small parts it is hard to get the saw to be 90degres. The saw plate is very flimsy and the back end of it seems to be dipping in and causing parts to get stuck which is flat out dangerous. The miter slots has a non uniform coating in them which makes it pretty hard to make cutting sleds. I actually had to sand away the coating in the slots. Lastly, when you start the saw there is too much vibration on the blade that causes zero clearance inserts to get wider because of that vibration. ... show more

What a great saw! Have had no problems, its powerful, awesome safety features, and very portable (although I built mine into a table, with a 60" wide rip capacity, and a 36" out-feed, I can easily remove it, and take it anywhere!)

The fence won’t work or stay in place. Impossible to use. Bought it because Delta is an American brand. Really bad mistake. This saw is garbage!
