This is my second time purchasing DELSWIN's combination lock, and I'm giving it five stars after seeing it in action. Let's just say I got to do my own product test and it passed with flying colors. I previously had this identical lock on my gate and someone accidentally changed the combination. (I won't name any names, but they know who they are.) Knowing how well it worked, I bought the exact same lock and set out to cut the previous one off the gate, which proved to be a major task. A hacksaw barely left a tiny mark and bolt cutters wouldn't touch it. I finally had to use a cutoff grinder to remove it, and even that took some work. It wasn't quick or subtle, so I have no doubt that someone trying to break in would be noticed. The lock is easy to set, durable in all weather, and definitely tough enough to deter theft. A good, solid lock with easy to see combination numbers and much easier to rotate and lock-in the numbers compared to other padlocks I use on our boat and storage at a marina. I never thought I would call a padlock elegant until now, because who really cares how “hardware-ish” a padlock looks? But I consider its appearance worth the fifth star anyway. I certainly would buy this model if I need additional or replacement combination padlocks. Great sturdy lock, easy to set desired combo. Replaced a lock worn and need to be cut off for lock jammed. When attempting noticed lock body was two piece sandwiching the locking mechanism. Popped it apart with a screw driver. That told me it could have been broken into when still working. One piece body of this padlock equals better security and a great price. ... show more

    • Lock Combo Fails after several openings

The media could not be loaded. Update: the locks can be opened, but it takes an enormous amount of force to get the mechanism to work. Way more force than it would take to pull it open by hand, they are still secure, they can't be forced when the combination is not correct, but it takes an enormous amount of force to open it when the combination is correct. I purchased 4 of these since they were almost identical to the Master locks...but there is a great difference. The Master locks have a key to change the combo, and it's not possible to defeat the lock change by accident. I have found these locks have tendency to swivel the shackle when open and laying down, and moving into lock combo change mode. In addition, after several opening (I have 4 locks on a trailer), they fail to open using the right combination. This has happened with 2 of the 4 locks, where they are difficult to open, even when regularly oiled with silicone. Upon opening, and re-locking, with the correct combo dialed in, they close, and fail to open again. It appears there is an internal failure of the lock change component, it either sticks in change mode or breaks. I've had to cut one of them off, and could not attach the other since it locked and could not be reopened. Am currently upgrading all 4 to Master Brand after 5 months of use. ... show more
