This ac works great! No need to empty out water every day, and keeps room nice and cool. Only think I don't like is that theres no way to keep the fan on all the time when in AC mode. When the room reaches temp, the compressor AND fan turn off.

    • Not a good purchase
It worked okay the first couple days but now it's not even blowing cold air. The air is cooler than the air in the room yes but it's not even 10 degrees cooler. It's running all day long to drop the temperature from 79 to 75. There is something wrong with it. This is the second dud AC I've purchased from Amazon and I will not be buying a third. I'm going to contact a local HVAC store and see if they can recommend a portable AC that they can guarantee will blow cold air. I'm thoroughly disgusted by Amazon are all these AC units duds? So many off-brands. This was a refurb and was supposed to work. I've already discarded the box and I don't want to go through another return. I'm just going to eat the cost on it. Why is it like this? This is wrong. Do not buy an air conditioner on Amazon. Go buy one local! ... show more

    • Not very well refurbished
This unit seems to do an okay job of cooling. I'm using it in a 150 square foot room and it works up to about 20 degrees below the outside temperature. It was not refurbished very well. It has a rattle, and it produces a slight smell. I had to open it up and clear a few bits of paper from inside it. One of the caps had a broken rubber connector (a trivial thing that just keeps it from getting lost). The way the hose connects to the window plate is a terrible design that doesn't stay connected. Don't buy this thinking you'll get a nice "open box" unit. You might get a well-worn one like I did. It's also a hassle to get serviced, and I didn't really use it for 90 days so I missed the opportunity. ... show more

    • Refurbished Delonghi pinguino portable ac
Gonna be honest here. This ac was a non performer. Bought it just days before the heatwave here in hampton va for my live aboard sailboat. My cabin size is only 10 1/2 ft wide by around 12 ft long. Not big and a little over 1/5 of the 500sq ft area that this ac is suppose to cool. The air that came out was slightly chilled at 65 degrees. Wow…I know for a fact that a well working delonghi blows low 40’s and even down to high 30’s. WOOT stood by their warrantee and I was fully taken care of. However I will not ever buy an ac from them again. ... show more
